  • stick to lean proteins like eggs, chicken, fish, etc.
  • swap out starchy sides like potatoes and fried foods for fruits or side salads.
  • ask for sauces on the sides (like hollandaise, etc).
  • sides of salsa can be a great addition on top of eggs or any other dish.
  • order black coffee with unsweetened almond or coconut milk and stevia (more about our coffee orders in this post).
  • if ordering sweet dishes like French Toast or pancakes, split it with the table, and order a healthier protein-filled dish for your main meal.
  • if choosing an alcoholic beverage, stick to plain champagne.
  • skip out on sugary granola, and if ordering oatmeal, ask for it plain (no sugar or butter), and add in your own sweetener or fresh fruit.
  • we love ordering a hot tea or hot water with lemon to drink as well!
