In case you all didn’t know, we are 5’1″, so finding jeans that fit well can be a struggle, so we thought we would share some of our go to pairs that don’t stretch out, and fit perfectly, and see below for more!
Black Denim
If you’re looking for a black pair, #1 and #2 are both great options and come in the shorter lengths. We are size 0 or 24 short.
Basic Denim
For a non-distressed pair, we love #3 and #4 and are both the petite size 0/24 in them.
White Denim
As far as a white pair, we love this #5 pair, and we are size 24 short.
Denim Shorts
Shorts can be tricky to find, and our favorite pair is all sold out, but these pairs #6, #7, #8 are all great and run true-to-size.
Distressed Denim
For distressed jeans, we love #9, #11, and #12 because they’re super stretchy ( we are size 0 short). #10 and #13 are both more of a true denim, and fit true-to-size.
We haven’t been back with a Wellness Wednesday post for quite some time! We had been wanting to share an updated workout routine/schedule with you all, and for some reason, we thought we had already shared one previously!
In case you missed our last Wellness Wednesday post, you can check that one out here!
If you all read some of our previous posts on low intensity workouts, or listened to our podcast, An Extra Dose, you know that we have been doing lower intensity workouts for about 9-10 months. Nothing against higher intensity workouts, but for us, this is what we were craving, and what we feel the best doing at this time.
In the past, we would go to the gym almost every day, and some form of cardio, like the stairmaster or bike, and then lift weights. We still think those are great workouts, but we just were very fatigued, and wanted to give our bodies a break!
We had both tried pilates in the past, but hadn’t really done it consistently. In January, we both started doing pilates at Session Pilates in Dallas and have been going pretty much every week, twice a week. We LOVE it, and actually look forward to the workouts. All of the instructors are great, and if you don’t think you can get sore or tired from pilates, you are WRONG!
We have gotten so sore sometimes, to the point that where it is days long, in the best way! Pilates really does transform your body, and strengthens your core, lengthens your body, and creates that lean, toned look that we love!
PS- if you want to take a free intro class at Session Pilates, mention “adoubledose”!
In addition to Pilates, we jump on our rebounder almost every day for at least 20-25 minutes. Read up on the benefits of rebounding in this post andthis post. We also like to do a p.volve workout at home, which is very similar to pilates! Check out more on p.vovle in this post!
Our current workouts schedule is something like this:
MONDAY: walk outside or rebound for 20-25 minutes + an at-home pilates or p.volve workout
TUESDAY: walk outside or rebound for 20-25 minutes + an at-home pilates or p.volve workout
WEDNESDAY: walk outside or rebound for 20-25 minutes + possible an at-home pilates or p.volve workout (or just walk, no extra workout)
THURSDAY: walk outside or rebound for 20-25 minutes + an at-home pilates or p.volve workout
FRIDAY: walk outside or rebound for 20-25 minutes + possible an at-home pilates or p.volve workout (or just walk, no extra workout)
SATURDAY: rebound for 30 minutes or short run outside + some at-home resistance band exercises
SUNDAY: rest day
PS- this black lace cami is A STAPLE and so comfy! Great to layer underneath sweaters in the fall. We have size s for reference. These black jeans are so stretchy and fit so well. We have size 25 short in them!
Coming back from a trip, and because we get asked about this a lot, we wanted to write about drinking and consuming alcohol. We are not alcoholics, or have anything against it, but we both just don’t personally drink alcohol a lot. We do enjoy an occasional glass wine, but are sweets lovers, so we will indulge in that! We talked more about alcohol and drinking in this podcast episode.
To be honest, we were never major drinkers. Of course, in college, we had our fun drinking and going out, but once we graduated, we realized we didn’t really enjoy it as much as we used to. We don’t personally enjoy having a hangover the next day, or not being able to be productive, so we choose to not consume it a lot. There are healthier drink choices you can make, which we can go into in a little bit!
We have found that as we became more into our health, we just committed to a lifestyle of putting the best things we can in our bodies, and we just don’t feel our best drinking often. Of course, like we said, a glass of wine, or a cocktail once in a while is great, but if you don’t feel your best drinking, don’t feel pressured to do it.
There are so many other ways to have fun, without drinking. Of course, if you love drinking and enjoy it, then do what works for you! Nothing wrong with that. We get asked a lot how we handle it when people bring it up, and truth is, if people respect you and have enough security with themselves, they won’t question your choices or decisions. From our experience, it is people who are insecure that have to share their opinions or make you feel like a weirdo for not taking part in what everyone else is doing!
Also, if you surround yourself with more people that have a similar lifestyle to you, it will help a lot!
If you are going to drink, here are some of the drinks we recommend are:
Vodka with sparkling water and citrus like lemon or orange, or even mint and cucumber
Glass of wine
Glass of champagne
Mixed drinks on menu, but skip sugar!
Now, about this denim on denim look! This whole outfit is from Abercrombie, and we are super excited to share these white jeans with you all. They are the white jeans you have been on the hunt for. They are stretchy, have a little rip, and the perfect rise. We got a size 25 in them, and they’re on sale for $44!
This is the perfect kind of outfit to wear for spring travels or a date night! We have been wearing these white jeans from Abercrombie with everything and love how they fit. We love that all of their jeans come in “short” and “tall” lengths, so it is perfect for petites, or taller girls!
We paired it with this white lace cami and a perfect denim jacket. If it is still chilly by you, which it seems to be all over right now, we wanted to share some cozy fleece pieces that are great for spring to throw on with some jeans and leggings!
Happy Weekend! We are so excited to be sharing one of our first spring looks with you all. Can we talk first about how good this denim skirt is?! It is like the version we used to wear back in 2005, but better! This one is a little longer, so it is more acceptable to wear with wedges (or flats).
We paired it with this classic button down shirt, which is hands down the best staple thing you can buy because you can dress it up or down- aka to the office, and then wear to happy hour or dinner, or on the weekends! And, the best part is, it is marked down to just over $40. We went with a size xs.
Speaking of sales, Abercrombie, has a huge sale going on for President’s Day! So many good pieces marked down, and we are sharing our below, so be sure to check those out!
Fun fact: Abercrombie was a MAJOR stop for all our shopping back in the day, and in the last few years it is back in our circle of favorites because they have so many good staple pieces at great price points!
We literally used to drag our poor parents to any Abercrombie store we could find and try on the entire store. And, of course, we had to get two of everything so we could match 😉 Needless to say, we have always been fans!
This look is so easy to recreate, and that is why we love it so much! You could also pair this white button up with some white jeans for an all white look, or with some basic jeans!
Speaking of skirts, we wanted to share some of our spray tanning tips with you all! We always feel better when we are tan, and of course, coming out of winter, we are all ghostly-looking! If it doesn’t bother you, more power to you, but we like to use some help from faux tanners/spray tans!
We don’t know we waited SOOOO long to jump on the sherpa pullover train, but we finally did, and are not turning back! This one from Abercrombie is so cozy and soft, you won’t want to take it off. It comes in a few colors like this red check plaid that we are wearing, a blush color, and olive color, and a grey check plaid. We are wearing xxs in it for reference.
What is so great about it is that it can be dressed up or down, meaning you can look more casual (aka with some leggings or sweats and sneakers), or dress it up with some ripped jeans and suede boots for a more pulled together look.We always strayed away from these kinds of pullovers because we felt like they were kind of “loungewear” looking, if that makes sense? Once we got our hands on one, we see what alll the rage is! You can layer a tee underneath, or even a sweater!
We paired this pullover with our favorite jeans from Abercrombie! We got the same pair last year and wore them almost every day. They are stretchy, fit petites perfectly, and have just the right amount of distressed in them. We are wearing a 24 short for reference in them.We don’t know about you all, but we rocked Abercrombie like no other back in the day! We are loving all the pieces they have now, and are proud to be rocking it again. Some of our favorite denim is from there, and we love their pullovers, and outerwear like this parka jacket and this puffer jacket.
