Happy Monday! Hope you all had the best weekend and are ready to jump back into this new week. We know we are, and we are super pumped to partner with Walmart to share this affordable fall layered look with you all. Y’all know that we love to put looks together that are budget friendly, but still look put-together! We think everyone should be able to look fashionable, without having to spend an insane amount on a look.
This entire look is under $200 ($174 to be exact!) How great is that kind of deal? One of our favorite parts about this look is the dark Levis denim. They are only $50 and they fit AMAZINGLY. We got a size 25×30, and the length and fit is perfect. The wash looks great with anything, and can be dressed up or down with boots or sneakers or slip ons. We paired the jeans with the investment piece of the look: these black suede booties. They are from Walmart’s Premium Lord & Taylor Premium Brands Shop, and may be the priciest piece out of the whole look at $85, but we really think you can wear them with so many things. They are the perfect height in both the heel and calf, and with black, you can’t go wrong! We got a size 6.5 in them for reference. They also come in a few other color options.For any easy, fall layered look, we paired this plaid blouse (under $15) with this olive utility vest (under $24). Both of these are great mix and match items to have in your closet, and won’t break the bank! The plaid shirt actually comes with a black tee underneath, which is great if you want to layer even more, or you could remove it and pair it with something in your closet.We were able to put this entire outfit together from Walmart for just $174, and we got free shipping since our order was over $35–major win in our book! We will definitely be browsing Walmart’s affordable pieces and their Premium Lord & Taylor Premium Brands Shop more regularly now that we have found such cute pieces, and hope you all will, too!

Y’all know how much we LOVE denim shorts, and we have had a few requests to share some that are little bit longer in length, so if you’re looking for something that covers your butt a little more, we have you covered! 😉 PS- if you haven’t had a chance to check out our other denim short post, you can read that one here!
You can throw them on with some booties, wedges, or flats, and you’re good to go!
As many of y’all know we are super petite, aka 5’1″, so finding denim that fits us well can be a struggle! When we stumbled upon Express, and their amazing denim and petite options, we were in LOVE, and honestly, haven’t gone anywhere else to shop for denim since then! They have the perfect fit for any size, especially petites, which we are ALLLL about! These white high-waisted shorts are amazinggg. Not only are they super stretchy, but they hug you in all the right places and they are longer, which we love. You can actually wear them with wedges, without showing too much skin 😉 We are wearing size 00 for reference!We paired it with this ahhhdorable denim off shoulder top (wearing xs) that is just so fun. It goes perfectly with these high-waisted shorts because it is more cropped! Can we take a second and take about these wedges?! They are so comfy and they come in a cognac color and black, too! This cactus clutch is just toooo fun for summer! Perfect accessory to an easy outfit like this! We wanted to share some of our favorite denim options from Express that we love and that fit us so well, and know you all will love them as much as we do! We usually opt for the petite denim, or the 00 short sizing!
And, since we are on the topic of the perfect fit, we wanted to talk about what we think the “perfect fit” is in a relationship, and why it is so important to us, and why we think it should important to you as well ;) Obviously we both have been in relationships, and have learned so much from all of them! We know dating can be hard, and not the most fun at times, but you have to do it to figure out what you want and don’t want in a relationship. We both honestly keep our private life, well, pretty private, but this is something we want to open up about a little bit. You may think you have fun with someone and could see yourself spending a lot of time with them, but sometimes that isn’t enough. We both think the foundation for a great relationship is dating and being with someone that you’re a perfect fit with. You’re probably wondering, “Well, what does that even mean?” To us, that means being with someone that you have something in common with, and not just loving to workout and eat. Yes, those are important, but it also about values. Having common interests, sharing the same values and beliefs, similar life goals, etc. It may not seem that important in the beginning, but you will find out sooner than later, that it really is. We personally don’t believe in the theory that “opposites attract”. It may work for some people, but generally, for us, we both would prefer to be with people that are similar to us. Of course, you’re not going to be identical to your partner, but similar is what works best for us!You want to be with someone that compliments you in the best way possible. We aren’t talking about getting actual compliments from someone. We are talking about being with someone that makes you a better person, brings out the best qualities in you, and just makes you better overall. We have both been in relationships where we make that person better, and more positive all around, but we haven’t necessarily gotten that on our ends. It is important that BOTH people are getting that benefit. When you’re with the “perfect fit”, it should feel like you’re hanging out with your good friend, and it just flows. It shouldn’t feel forced at all. Of course, it is not all rainbows and sunshine, but it really should be mutually beneficial. The other person should make you want to be better, and not change yourself in any way. For example, you may dislike running, but maybe they will inspire you to get more into running and train with you (speaking from personal experience ;) ) It is not about finding someone to change you or make you better, it is all about complimenting each other and making each other a perfect fit for each of you!{ Denim Shirt | White High Waisted Shorts | Cactus Clutch | Wedges | Sunglasses | Curling Iron | Nail Color | Toe Polish | Neckace | BRACELETS: David Yurman Cable Bracelets here, here, and here and Cartier Love Bracelet | RINGS: David Yurman Ring here and here | WATCH: Michele Deco Watch }
It is finally spring, so we wanted to share our favorite denim shorts with y’all. The thing we love about denim shorts is that you can wear them with sweaters, cardigans, tanks, tees, blouses, etc. So many ways to style them–dressed up or down! Some of our favorites are #1 (fit tts), #4 we wear ALL of the time (wearing 24), and #15 (love the wash!)
Happy Thursday! We had a lot of requests to do a post on affordable denim (under $100) + some petite-friendly options! In case y’all didn’t know, we are both 5’1″, so finding jeans that fit properly can be a struggle! I am sure those of y’all there tall also have that problem!
We are sharing some budget-friendly jeans and shorts, and hope it is helpful for you all!
Y’all know we are MAJOR fans of a good ripped jean. You can honestly never have too many! We rounded up our faves (most of them super affordable AND comfy!) We own a lot of these, and wear them so much, so we are excited to share them with y’all!
#3 is more of an investment pair, but SO worth it! We got ours during the anniversary sale and love the fit and rips in them. Super duper comfy, so highly recommend!
#4 is another great one and we own these in 2 washes (the light and dark). These are almost like a legging because they are super comfy. #7 is the same pair in olive!
#6 is a classic Levi’s pair and under $88. They are more of a jean material, so not super stretchy, but the rips are amazing!
We also have #10 and love a black skinny. These are a great pair for fall and winter!
#1,#2, and #5 are all under $75 and a great budget pair!
