Finding jeans that fit petites can be tricky. At 5’1″, we have a harder time finding jeans that actually fit properly. We are going to be sharing some of our favorite jeans from Express. We love that they carry all sizes, and even longer lengths for taller people, too!
Their jeans are affordable, stretchy, and come in so many washes, so there’s something for everyone! For reference, we are 00 short for reference in their jeans.
This ripped pair is a must have! It has perfect knee holes, and they are higher waisted, so they are very flattering. These happen to be on sale for $60 (25% off)! Perfect time to get yourself some.
We paired these ripped jeans with this super cozy sweater that comes in other colors, and happens to be 50% off (wearing size xxs). You will LOVE this one. Some of you all have purchased it and love it, too!
This pair is a non-distressed pair and has a raw hem, which we love! This style is a great basic and happens to also be 25% off at $60. We are wearing it with this grey bodysuit in size xs.
This flare pair is SO fun and super stretchy! They are selling out quickly because they’re so good. We have size 00 short for reference.
Happy weekend! Hope you all are staying healthy and safe. Since most people will be staying at home a lot the next few weeks, we thought we would share some air fryer recipes you can try and experiment with.
Before we get into the recipes, we wanted to share this affordable spring look from Walmart that anyone can wear! PS- they offer free shipping on orders over $50!
We were a little unsure about these flare jeans on us, since we are so petite, but we actually ended up loving them.
We are wearing size 00 short in these jeans for reference, and paired it with this ivory knit sweater that is perfect for spring. It is lightweight and only $17. We are wearing size s in it for reference.
For a more casual look, we paired these white sneakers with it, but you could dress up this look with heels.
Now, for the recipes:
If you don’t have an air fryer, we HIGHLY recommend one, and they’re fun to play around with. This one and this one are great options.
Feeling like being really raw with you all, and opening up like I have in these posts. To be honest, I (Alexis), have been having my moments where I feel down and frustrated with being single. As I shared in this post , it can be hard to be the single sister.
I know Samantha has been there, and was single for years before finding Taylor, but I just want the same thing. I have chatted with many of you all who are going through the same thing, and can relate on so many levels. The truth is, no matter how many people you have surrounding you and supporting you, nothing can totally change the way you are feeling.
Not that I am old, but at 28, I thought my life would look a lot different, and I am totally okay with that. I just thought that I would be married, or at least already with my “match”. The truth is, it doesn’t always work the way we plan in our minds, and since I am quite the planner, it has been difficult for me to not be able to control this situation.
As frustrating as it is, I am really takin this time to embrace this period in my life where I can be totally selfish, have tons of alone time, and be picky about who I want in my life partner.
I have learned so much about myself already. Dating just sucks. Plain and simple. Of course, there are times that it can be great, like anything else, but often, I am just frustrated. It can be a full-time job, with no reward sometimes, which for the perfectionist in me, can be difficult. Between spending time swiping for matches, making small talk, going on dates, etc, it can be a rollercoaster of emotions.
Then, after all of that, realize you’re not a good match with them, get “ghosted”, or it just fizzles off. Can you tell I am frustrated and a whole mix of emotions?! haha.
I decided to share this stuff with you all, or whatever is on my mind, because 1: it is a therapeutic, and 2: I know a lot of you all can relate to this. Just know you aren’t alone in any of this. So, I wanted to share some things I have been doing, or trying to do help myself as I navigate this stage/phase of my life.
Make Friends/Make Plans
This has been a big one for me. Of course, living with Samantha, it can be easy for me to just hang at home, especially when her and Taylor are here, but I know I need to be out and making friend and being social (more on that in this post). I have been back on Bumble BFF, taking workout classes, and am going to try and get involved with volunteering for a charity. It does help a lot with what I am feeling, and being social just makes you so much happier!
Be Selfish
As everyone tells me, this is the one time you will never get back. I will never have this much alone time and quality time with myself to do literally anything I want to, when I want it. If I want to go get a manicure at 9 PM, or binge watch my favorite girlie shows until 12 AM, I can do that. Not that you can’t with a guy in your life, but it is all a balancing act that I see people in relationships having to play. This is also a time I have been taking to read all the inspirational books, quotes, and more!
Be picky
I know there are mixed feelings about this. We talked about in this podcast episode, but for me, I feel like if you are choosing your life partner, you need to be picky. Of course, some people have limits on their standards, but after dating a few people that I learned a lot from, I feel like I know what I want and don’t want, and that is really what dating is all about. You are fine-tuning, until you find your match. I am trying to be better about being more open-minded, but I do have quite the list going of standards 😉
You should totally be picky because if you don’t think you’re worth it, then who else will?
Speaking of dating, this outfit is perfect for any kind of date– not too dressy, but not super casual, and it shows the perfect amount of skin. We love this grey cocooon cardigan to transition into fall because it is super soft, and it matches everything. You can wear it with shorts, jeans, or pair it with a skirt or dress for work!
We paired it with this silk camisole (such a staple!– wearing size s) and these white jeans that come in a shorter length for petite girls, like us. For accessories we put on these suede peep toe booties and round crossbody bag from Sole Society. Both are great fall transitional pieces, and can be worn so many ways. The bag you can wear crossbody, on your shoulder, or in your hand, and it will match everything you wear.
The shoes are also great because they can be worn into the fall months with jeans and sweaters! We have size 7 for reference in the “honey” color. Sole Society has so many great things to wear as we start preparing for fall clothing (even when it is triple digits out, haha!) We love that almost all of their items are under $100!
Happy Monday! We have had SO many requests to cover our favorite jeans for petites (many of y’all may not know that we are only 5’1″). We actually covered this topic in another blog post a while back, but we wanted to do an updated one!
If there is one item that is a MUST in our closet, it is ripped jeans. It can be so hard to find ones that fit us the right length, and really, just all around because of how petite we are. Many of y’all may not know that we are only 5’1″, so finding short jeans can be quite the challenge sometimes! We popped into Express the other week and found TONS of jeans that we loved, all at a great price point that come in shorter lengths, longer lengths, and regular, too! These ripped jeans are one of our favorites because they have rips in all the right places, especially the knees! These are stretchy, so they are actually comfortable to travel in, run errands in, etc. They also have some other jeans that are not as ripped, which will be at the bottom of the post! We paired these ripped jeans with a comfy cardigan (love the bell sleeves on it) with this strappy cami (under $40). This cami has the perfect amount of detailing, without being too revealing. For those of y’all who are wondering what we wear underneath, we just wear the silicon petals! You can wear these jeans with a cami, how we did, or a basic tee. These can be dressed up or down!
Be sure to check the bottom of the post for a special discount code to save $25 off your order!
We also found a great pair of olive jeans that have just the perfect amount of distressing in them. These also come in a shorter length option, and can be worn with so many pieces.

We paired these jeans with this coral cold shoulder top (wearing XS). This peach color is super flattering on any skin tone, and looks great with olive!
We love that these jeans feel like you’re wearing leggings, but they look like jeans and are super comfy! We are honestly so surprised with the great pieces Express has. Not only are their jeans great, but they have some great dresses, tops, work clothing, and even accessories. What we love so much about them is that their prices are super affordable, and they always have some kind of promotion, which always helps;)
