Can we take a moment to appreciate that Dallas is finally getting fall weather?! It will actually me chilly enough this weekend to wear a scarf and sweater (insert praise emoji!) We have literally been sweating in all of our fall clothes every time we take pictures for the blog or instagram, so we can finally wear the outfits we have been posting. This knit scarf is not only so pretty, but it really keeps you warm! The color adds a feminine touch to any outfit, and can be worn wrapped several times, how we did, or you can just wrap it once, and let it hang long! We paired it with this velvet baseball cap (soooo cute), and major bonus: it hides dirty hair, yes please!
We wore the scarf over some light layers, but it could also be worn over a thicker sweater. This cardigan is the same one you may remember us wearing in white. Love the bell sleeves and the lightness it has to it. The color also goes with everything!
Of course, you can’t go wrong with a ripped pair of jeans with any outfit. This exact pair sold out, but this pair and this pair are super similar. 
To keep the outfit pretty neutral, we paired these booties with the outfit. They have a more pointed toe, so they make your legs look longer. This color also looks great with darker jeans, like black or grey. 
We are soooo glad that baseball caps are back in because 1. who had time to wash their hair? and 2. it hides a makeup-free face 😉 They also just look really cute! We found some really cute other prints of caps below:

It may appear like it is fall in these pictures, but in reality, we shot these on someone’s front lawn. haha. We are happy to report that the people who lived here did not come out of their house, and we successfully got all of our pictures without sweating through the vest. It was a close call, though! It was probably around 95 degrees, and we were out there posing in faux fur vests, but it is all good because we LOVE this look!

Hope you all had a great weekend! It seems like they are never long enough, right? We both spent most of the weekends with our boyfriends and attended a really cool charity event, Hope Fest, which was so fun! We can’t believe it is already October! Where did September go, and how is it already the middle of fall, aka closer to winter. It is still super warm here, and we are definitely not complaining about that at all. Speaking of fall, we absolutely do not follow that silly rule of “no white after Labor Day” We don’t even know who came up with that, but we think you can wear white all year long! Why not?!

You all may have noticed we have been spending a lot of time in Rockwall, Texas. Our parents actually moved from El Paso, Texas to Rockwall a couple of months ago, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled! Instead of being a 10-hour drive away, they are now only 45 minutes away, which is a total game changer! We are at their place all of the time, and honestly, we act like we are moving in sometimes, haha. We wanted to share some of our favorite things about Rockwall, and why we love having our parents so close to us. Before we get into that, we wanted to share this lightly layered fall look.

If y’all haven’t been to Rockwall before, and you live close to DFW, you all have to check it out! There is something so peaceful about it, and just slower-paced. They have a huge lake right as you enter the city called Lake Ray Hubbard, and it is so gorgeous! We haven’t had a chance to go on it yet, but you can rent kayaks, boats, paddle boards, and jet skis. They also have several restaurants on the lake, too!
Most of the spots we listed above are in the downtown square, where we took these pictures! It is a pretty small little area, but super cute to walk around, especially in this fall weather. They have live music some nights, which is really neat, too!
There are so many reasons why having our parents close to us is a plus. We have always been really close with them, especially since we are the only kids. We haven’t lived close by them since we left for college eight years ago. We didn’t think we would get to live so close to them for at least a couple more years, so we are so grateful that they got this opportunity. Even if it is just getting to go over to their house for dinner, or meeting them halfway, or just knowing they are a short drive away gives us so much comfort.
