Since it is wedding season, and so many of y’all have requested white dresses for bridal showers, engagement parties, etc, we are sharing our favorite white dresses! The great thing about these is that you an re-wear them for SO many other things, and really get good use out of them! We love wearing white dresses to anything, and you can dress them up with some heels, or dress them down with some flats or sneakers and a denim jacket.
Summer is in full swing, and since we had a few requests to share some date night ideas, we thought it would be fun to combine that and share some fun summer date night ideas. Honestly, we both are pretty indecisive when it comes to activities and picking out places to eat, haha, so we depend on other people to make those decisions most of the time. We are trying to be better about that, but it is honestly because we just don’t hate that many things, and have fun doing anything or trying any type of food! Before we get into our ideas, we wanted to share this perfect summer date night outfit. It is casual, but also little dressed up; perfect for drinks or coffee on a patio! This eyelet cami is open in the back, but we love how the front is a high-neck halter. We paired it with these ripped jeans, which are our favorites because they are SO comfy! These turquoise earrings add a perfect pop of color an are actually lightweight! The crossbody bag is a great neutral bag and fits a lot in it and these sandals are a great transition piece for summer to fall. They are peep toe and have a good block heel, so they are easy to walk in.
Okay, now for our date night ideas:

Some of y’all may have seen we got a spray tan (airbrushed by someone) a couple of weeks ago. We usually use this self-tanner (more about how to use it in this blog post), but we had the opportunity to get sprayed by Airbrush Tanning Dallas, and LOVED the results! She did an amazing job, and made it super easy for us. When we shared that we got a spray tan, a lot of y’all were asking if we could share some tips on getting a spray tan. Honestly, we have only done it a few times, but we can share some of the tips she gave us, as well as some tips we read before we got sprayed! Nobody wants to look like a ghost in the summer, haha. Before we get into the spray tan talk, we wanted to share some of these adorable summer pieces that can easily be worn into fall! We know it is only July, but fall will be here before you know it! This knit cardigan is on sale right now (40% off) and so cozy! We love this oatmeal shade because it is a great neutral, and can be worn with everything. We paired it with these super comfy lace up heels (under $90) and this leopard clutch that is only $38! Leopard is one of those prints that goes with everything, even other prints! You could wear both the bag and shoes into fall with some ripped jeans or a cute little black dress! Here are some of the tips we learned from our spray-tanning experience:
Don’t use any moisturizer, perfume, or deodorant before getting sprayed
Exfoliate well before the spray tan
Wear dark, loose clothing after getting sprayed
Avoid touching yourself until you rinse off
Do the spray tan that has the 2-hour option, as opposed to 8 hours. Nobody wants to be all sticky for that long
We only had to wait two hours for ours, so we could rinse off right before bed, which was a game changer
Use coconut oil or shea butter to moisturize after the next day
Use only a clear gel soap to shower with and NO scrubs
After rinsing off, gently pat yourself with the towel, don’t rub the towel on your body, as the color could rub off
Use baby powder near your chest (where your bra rubs on your skin) and on your feet when working out, so it creates a sweat barrier, and the tan won’t rub off
Summer is here, y’all, and we are loving it! One of our favorite things about summer is all the fresh fruit! We love baking with fruits, making drinks, infusing our waters, or just snacking on them. Since strawberries are one of our favorite fruits, we wanted to share some of our favorite recipes using strawberries! But, first, we wanted to talk about this super cute and effortless summer look! This romper is SO comfy and it does go a little low, but you can always wear a cami underneath, or safety pin the front a little more closed! We paired it with these adorable d’Orsay flats and this congac backpack. We will admit, we totally don’t usually go for either of these pieces normally, but they are so fun, and a great switch up to some basics! Plus, they go with everything! These sunglasses are a great take an on aviator, and they really are flattering on any face shape! We love these accessories from Sole Society because they are so versatile, and they are a great price point (all under $90)! And, now for our favorite strawberry recipes:
Summer is HERE! That means everyone across the country is hanging out at the best patios! For us in Dallas, we are pretty much able to enjoy patio weather year-round. One of our favorite things to do in the summer is hang out on a patio with a refreshing cocktail or yummy appetizer. There is nothing better than great weather, your good friends and family, and some good food.
We wanted to share some of our favorite patios in Dallas, but before we do, we wanted to share the perfect outfit for heading out to a patio for drinks or dinner. This striped cami is super breathable and light, but also looks put-together. We paired it with some white jeans (always a great choice in the summer), or you could wear this cami with some white shorts.
The pop of yellow in these shoes is SO fun, and just screams summer! They aren’t too high, so they’re great with any bright colors, or a monochromatic outfits like all black or white. The palm print clutch is a fun piece to add to other prints, or with just a solid color in the summer. Those two pieces, along with these turquoise earrings are the perfect summer accessories for some drinks or dinner. And, now for our favorite patios in Dallas (we haven’t tried all of these, but we have heard they are great!)
Americano
Blind Butcher (has really good roasted chicken that is smoky tasting!)
Chicken Scratch (haven’t been, but they have fried chicken)
El Bolero (they have great Mexican food, and the scenery is so fun!)
Henry’s Majestic (has good cocktails!)
HG Sply Co. (great rooftop; love their Moscow Mules!)
High Fives (has a great happy hour!)
Mudhen’s Meat and Greens (obsessed with their roasted chicken!)
