If you all are looking for the perfect nude lipstick, we found this GREAT one! It is the perfect shade and it is matte so it gives your lips a fuller look, which we all love. We are wearing the “Augustine” color.
We found this lip color at Nordstrom, and we love that they offer in-store pickup, so you can order online, and get it in just a few hours in your car! This lip color is paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, fragrance-free, and oil-free, and it is made in Italy!
We love how this lip color compliments everyday makeup, and can be worn during the day, or dressed up for an evening look. We kept the makeup pretty simple with blush and bronzer.
We know having a beauty routine and regimen can be overwhelming at times, so we thought we would break down some of our tried and true products and staples. You can find all of these at Walmart, and we love that they offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more, and carry all of our favorite brands and products.
Hair
This Revlon hair brush dryer is a favorite of ours. Not only does it give you an effortless salon blowout, but it is so easy to use, and is only $41.
If you have dry or chapped lips, or skin, Aquaphor is our go-to. It is dermatologist recommended, and can help with minor cuts and burns, cuticles, and dry feet or heels. It also works as a protective barrier that keeps in skin’s moisture.
We love all of Derma E’s products because they are all 100% vegan, paraben free, sulfate free, and non GMO. Their cleansers and serums are great and packed with Vitamin C, which leaves your skin brighter and softer.
When we need to remove our makeup prior to cleansing, or are traveling, these Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes are our go to. They are super easy to use, gentle on eyes and skin, and remove even stubborn mascara.
This Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum is a staple. Our mom uses it as well, and is an antioxidant treatment that helps to reduce the look of fines lines and wrinkles. It also brightens your skin and creates firmer skin.
In case you missed our last episode of An Extra Dose, you can listen to that here!
A little about this episode:
On this episode of An Extra Dose Podcast, we are talking about the differences between lash extensions and lash lifts, what the processes are of each service, and how we care for them. We are also sharing our favorite hair tools, and what the differences are between titanium and ceramic hair tools.
Being at home the last month, or even more than that for some, we have all been makeup-free, or trying to keep it pretty natural. We have had some requests to share our typical, everyday makeup routine. We usually keep it pretty simple and at 10 minutes, or less. Nobody has time to spend more time on that than that most days, and we wanted to be easy for beginners to follow as well.
We are sharing our favorite makeup products, which can all be found at Nordstrom. They carry all of our favorite brands, and we love that we can easily restock by ordering online and either pick up curbside, or wait for it to arrive at our door!
We absolutely love a good CC cream. Our mom actually had this Supergoop CC cream a couple months ago, and once we tried it, we were in love. It has great coverage, AND SPF, so you get two things in one! You can also wear this alone, without foundation. We wear the “light/medium” shade.
During these quarantine, all of our lash extensions we normally have, have fallen out, so we are really relying on mascara more than ever. This Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is a great one for anyone, and really makes your lashes look long and full. You can also use a lash primer like this one to really boost them before applying mascara.
There are so many good foundations out there. One of our tried and trued foundations is bareMinerals. We have been wearing their foundation for over ten years, and still love it. We love how it can be layered on as much as you prefer. We wear the “light” shade most of the time.
This is a very important step after applying your foundation. This Charlotte Tilbury setting powder is superfine and leaves your skin looking flawless. We wear the “2 Medium” shade.
To add some color to your cheeks, you need a good blush. We have been wearing this Bobbi Brown blush since high school, and it is still a favorite of ours. We wear the “sand pink” shade.
We all want that glowy, sun-kissed look. There are so many good highlighters out there, and this Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo is one of them. We have the “moonlight” shade, and love applying the darker shade as a bronzer on our jaw, cheeks and forehead, and then layer the lighter shade on the cheekbones, forehead, nose, and anywhere else you want that glow.
Neutral eyeshadow
We don’t wear a lot of eyeshadow, but if we do, we love doing a neutral shade. This Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette has every neutral shade you could ever want. We love using the lightest shade in the corners of our eyes, and the darker shades as eyeliner. The shades in between are perfect for the lids.
Setting spray + primer
If you’re wanting your makeup to *really* last all day and night long, this Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is a game changer. It is super lightweight and really locks your makeup in place.
They also make a primer that you could use before your CC cream or foundation to really grip the foundation in place and create a good base layer on your skin.
Lip color
One of our most asked questions is our lip color. Both of these shades are super close, and it is because it is our favorite color to wear. It gives the perfect amount of color to your lips for daytime, without looking too much, and can be worn in the evening as well.
This MAC Lip Lacquer stays all-day-long, without feeling heavy. We wear the “lacquered up” shade.
The other option is this Bobbi Brown Crushed Lipstick. It is matte and buildable, meaning you can add one layer, or more, depending on how intense you want the color. We wear the “cabana” shade.
Makeup tools
Last, but not least, are the makeup tools we use on a regular basis.
We love using this Beautyblender sponge to apply foundation, or even setting powder. You can clean it after every use easily and it gives you an easy, even application
This silicon pad has been a favorite of ours for a while. You can easily clean all your brushes by wiping them on this pad with soap. It really helps to get into the grooves and deep into the bristles. They now have updated it to a mitten, which is even easier to use!
We are all shopping for good skincare, beauty, and makeup products, and Sephora is having a BIG sale on everything for a few days, so don’t miss out!

Makeup
There are so many great products, but we will share some of our top picks!
Our tried and true makeup. Great for when you don’t feel like wearing liquid foundation, and you can layer on as much as you want. We are the “light” shade.
Since we had to take off our lash extensions, we have been using this serum every night, and we truly see a difference in our lashes. HIGHLY recommend!
Skinceuticals Simply Clean: we love this brand and this one is free of sulfates and parabens, has aloe vera and herbal extracts, and is great for all skin types.
TONE:
Next step is toning! This is important to minimize pores, eliminate impurities, and rebalance the PH of your skin. It also helps to remove any leftover dirt or makeup on your face that the cleanser didn’t take off.
Eminence Lime Refresh Tonique: one of our favorites and comes in a spray! It smells amazing and has lime juice, green tea, and lavender.
Tula Pro Glycolic Resurfacing Toner: this one is alcohol-free and has natural probiotics and gently removes excess dirt and oil, as well as hydrates! **use code DOUBLEDOSE for 15% off**
SERUM:
Serums help to brighten your skin and help with wrinkles and uneven skin tone. We apply these right after using toner.
Derma E Vitamin C Serum: this one is a great affordable option, and is packed with Vitamin C (helps to brighten), Hyaluronic Acid (helps to deliver antioxidants), and aloe (helps to soften and soothe skin)
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid : a fan favorite that provides protection from skin-damaging free radicals from the sun and pollution. Also improves fine lines, and brightens skin tone! The Vitamin C in this remains effective for 72 hours, which is amazing!
MOISTURIZE:
Very important to keep your skin moisturized, even if you are oily!
Tula Breakout Star Oil-Free Moisturizer : if you are acne prone, this is our favorite! It has 2% salicylic acid treats and prevents acne! **use code DOUBLEDOSE for 15% off**
Eminence Coconut Age Corrective Moisturizer : not only does this one smell AMAZING, it has coconut oil, coconut water, swiss green apple stem cells, and a natural retinol alternative complex that helps to reduce the signs of aging.
Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil: we love using oils and this one is rich in linoleic acid and pro-vitamin A—that is both cold-pressed and organic. It has been shown to reduce signs of photo-aging and many other skin conditions.
EYES:
No matter your age, you need to be putting something on your eyes!
Tula Brightening Eye Balm : one of our favorites because it is so easy to apply on-the-go! It also cools and highlights, too. **use code DOUBLEDOSE for 15% off**
PROTECT:
We use sunscreen every day, and it is KEY to prevent aging and skin damage!
Elta MD Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 40: our favorite because it protects against damaging UVA and UVB rays and is lightly tinted, so it helps to create a smoother, flawless-looking complexion.
If you’re not exfoliating already, you need to be! We try to every couple of days to remove dead skin cells and debris.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment: we use this one and LOVE it! It has AHA Lactic Acid & BHA Salicylic Acid, Silica, Papaya, Pineapple & Pumpkin Enzymes, aloe vera, honey, and vitamin E. It also smells amazing!
Glycolix Treatment Pads: these pads gently exfoliate, moisturize and help in removing oils and residue. They also have witch hazel, and vitamins A, C, E and Coenzyme Q10.
MASK:
We try to do some sort of mask at least once or twice a week. Plus, it is super relaxing to do!
Eminence Eight Greens Phyto Masque : We use this one the most, and love how it “heats” up. It leaves your skin feeling renewed and the paprika extract stimulates blood flow to detoxify, and the vitamins A, C, E and coenzyme Q10 fight off free radicals.
Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Mask: this one uses natural earth clays and botanicals to unclog pores, remove impurities and balance oil production. The Kaolin and bentonite clays in it help to absorb excess oil and shine! This one is also great for acne-prone skin.
TREAT:
If you suffer from acne, or a breakout, we love a good spot treatment, and the tools below!
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: for zits, this is amazing! We use this at night. We love that it has salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide to help draw impurities from the skin. It also has calamine to cool and soothe the area!
High Frequency Wand: this is amazing to use for those stubborn hormonal breakouts!
Tula Ance Spot Treatment: this one has benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil so it is really good! Also, you can apply it under your makeup, or before bed! **use code DOUBLEDOSE for 15% off**
