Hope you all are having a good week so far! We are sharing this super cute spring look (great for traveling if you’re headed on a trip!), and also sharing a topic that was requested: how we care for our clothes! Honestly, such a good idea. We wouldn’t have thought of it otherwise! It is so important to take care of your clothes because if you don’t, you obviously won’t be able to extend the life of them. Before we get into our tips + tricks and what our favorite items are, we wanted to highlight these leopard mules! They are so comfortable and go with everything. They also come in a few other colors.
We paired them with this black suede bag that has the CUTEST handles (and comes in blush!) and kept it casual with this super cozy cardigan (40% off right now!) and these ripped jeans that we wear on the reg, haha.
For reference, we are wearing a 6.5 in the shoes, 24 short in the jeans, and XS in the cardigan!And, now for our tips and tricks for caring for your clothes:

WASHING:

• Sort laundry: dry clean, whites, darks, colored.
• Wash clothes in COLD water
• Wash items with darker coloring, beading, embroidery, or detailing inside-out (and even denim, too!)
• Air dry all clothes, except underwear (this causes shrinkage and fading)
  • we dry our clothes on a big clothing rack like this one
• Follow garment care instructions
• Use garment/mesh bag to wash swimsuits, bras, and delicate pieces)
• Wash workout clothing with these beads (they make your clothes smell amazing!)

IRONING/STEAMING CLOTHES:

• Use an iron like this one for items like jeans and button downs, or things made out of cotton
  • start at a low heat, and move up to prevent burning the clothing
  • spray water to ease wrinkles
• Use a steamer like this one for blouses, dresses, sweaters, cashmere
  • we love them for pleated items or things we need to do quickly

STORING CLOTHING:

• Keep bras organized and folded properly to maintain the cups
  • Fold padded bras in half with the straps tucked under the cups
• Don’t overcrowd your closet, so that clothes stay neatly ironed and organized
• Fold clothes along the seam to avoid wrinkles and creases
• Fold heavy sweaters on a shelf
• Invest in good hangers like these
