I don’t think I have to talk about these liquid leggings any more because I have already posted them a million times on my instagram and on here! They are just super versatile and I actually showed how to style a leather skirt in this post. I just love them with everything and they’re super comfortable. I know they seem like they’re see-through, but they’re not! If you don’t feel that comfortable in them, try wearing them with a longer top or button up, like I am wearing here!
This chambray button up is such a classic, and like the leggings, it can be worn with almost everything! It is almost a neutral. I have had this same one for at least 7 years, and I probably wear it once a week, at least! I also love it tied around my waist with a romper.
These heels are a perfect pop of color with any outfit. They’re high but not too high!
Oh, and these sunglasses are SO fun, right?! You can rent them for a month with Ditto, where you can swap out sunglasses each month. Get your first month free with code “DOUBLEDOSEBLOG”
Hope you all are having a great week so far! We have had quite the busy week already making waffles, but we are looking forward to our parents coming in at the end of the week!
Hope you all are having a great weekend. I apologize that we haven’t been sharing our workouts on our snapchats this week. We have been CRAZY busy, so we honestly didn’t even lift weights a lot this week, but we did remember to write down some of our workouts to share with you all on here, as well as some of our eats!
Here is what our schedule looked like this week:
Monday- OFF
Tuesday- just cardio (35 minutes on stairs about level 8-10)
Wednesday- cardio (35 minutes on stairs) + legs
Thursday – cardio (35 minutes on stairs) + arms
Friday- cardio (35 minutes on stairs) + chest + shoulders
Saturday – yoga + cardio (35 minutes on stairs)
Sunday – cardio (35 minutes on stairs) + back + legs
We did not have time to include our workout today, but you can check out our past posts for some examples!
And, now for our eats from this week:
Roasted chicken we made (shared the recipe in last week’s post) + spinach + sautéed veggies
We were both hungry at 10 PM the other night, and in addition to chocolate and a quest bar, we were craving veggies, so we threw this quick salad together of tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, salt and pepper, and balsamic vinegar.
We tried this new place called Dalat that has great Pho. We hadn’t had it in FOREVER, and what is great about this place is that you can sub out the noodles for shredded cabbage! SO awesome! We both got chicken pho and added a poached egg inside! So good!
As you can tell, we ate out a lot this week, haha. We also went to Texas De Brazil (so good) which has the BEST salad bar and then unlimited steak, chicken, etc. I know this picture is SO terrible, but I wanted to show you one (of many) plates of the meat. I get all the meat like flank, filet, etc and then I also get this chicken that is wrapped in bacon. I don’t like lamb or sausage, so I don’t eat those!
Look how incredible this salad bar is! I got two plates of this (insert embarrassed monkey emoji here).
Here’s a salad I made one afternoon for my afternoon meal:The same sautéed veggies I make almost every night with chicken. Never gets old!
After making over 800 waffles this week, we headed to another mediterranean spot in Dallas. It’s a buffet, so I will usually get the oven-baked chicken, the cucumber and tomato salad, eggplant, okra, green beans, salad, and cauliflower. Oh, and I had 2.5 plates of this 😉
We got invited to attend yoga in the park (more on my snapchat @alexis.belbel)) on Saturday, and then headed to Lark On The Park for brunch. I ordered the salad without the feta and dressing on the side with grilled chicken! It was delicious!
Oh, and the reason I didn’t do a workout on Saturday (I would have normally done legs) was that by the time we were done with yoga with TeaTree Hair Care and brunch, it was already 1 PM and I had ZERO motivation to go to the gym. I went and did a quick cardio workout to get my heart rate up and going and then called it a day! Not always easy or fun to get it in, but so worth it in the end!
And, now for some of our favorite workout clothes this week:
How cute are these tights?! I am not joking when we will probably be wearing these all of the time. What we love about them is that they can be worn to the gym, or just to run errands, lounge around, which is exactly what we love about athleisure wear.
This tank is super cute, too, because it can be worn also with regular clothes, and not just for the gym. The back has mesh, but not too much to where it is too much skin showing! The leggings and tank are both from Style Squared Clothing, which is a local Dallas company that has THE cutest workout/athleisure pieces.
These shoes are always on repeat because for one, they’re SUPER comfy, and two, they go with everything!
This tank is another great one because the front is super simple, but the back has the cutest criss-cross back! You can also wear this one with shorts or jeans!
These leggings are my favorite for so many reasons! One of them being that they’re super lightweight. I hate when leggings are super thick and “heavy” feeling. They also fit super well. I have super short legs, and love that these don’t bunch up at the bottom near my ankles!
My shoes are actually super old, and confession, they’re from the kids’ section! No, I don’t actually have small feet (I wear a size 7), but I got a size 4 or 5 in the kids’ size, and it fits! This pair and this pair are similar!

I have a major love for anything peplum, so when I saw that this top was $16 AND gingham, I had to have it. Well, actually, it wasn’t on sale when I bought mine (of course), but I got mine for about $24, so still not bad! I love that Old Navy is carrying petites now because it means everything will fit me the right way without me swimming in it, haha. This top comes in several patterns, and no surprise here that I ordered it in two patterns! I am wearing an XS petite and am 5’1″!
*PS- Old Navy is having a sale through today with code GETMORE
While I am talking about gingham, what goes better than white jeans! I wear mine all year long, but I especially love them for spring and summer. This pair is the one I am wearing and these also come in petites!
I get a lot of questions about my wedges, which I got on super sale at Nordstrom Rack. This pair and this pair are super close to mine and go with almost everything from shorts, to jeans, to dresses!
I got this pink tassel clutch in Italy, but this tassel clutch is on my to-buy list because its ADORABLE. Also, I love this hot pink clutch as well!
Hope you all are having a great week so far! We have had a pretty busy week so far, but it seems to be flying by! I hope you all had a chance to check out yesterday’s post on eating healthier at a restaurant! We had a ton of requests for this post, so I hope it was helpful!
Let us know if you have ANY questions about anything at all. Xo
FINALLY sharing a recap of our trip to LA a couple of weeks ago! In case you missed it, we shared our stay at the Four Seasons Westlake in this post a couple of days ago!
Of course, we had food packed for the three-hour flight. Big surprise there, right? We had gotten a salad at the day before at Snappy Salads, which is a place in Dallas where you can create your own salads. We got a huge salad with a ton of veggies, grilled chicken, and balsamic vinegar on the side for dressing!
I had also gone to another place in Dallas called Eatzi’s, which is basically like a mini Whole Foods with a bunch of prepared food. I got an egg white omelette with all the veggies, no butter (just oil), and pepper. They were super accommodating and it was really good (even eaten cold, haha)! I had planned on eating this earlier, but I was so glad I saved it because we needed up sitting on the runway for another hour when we landed. It was SO frustrating!
Incredible breakfast at The Four Seasons Westlake. Samantha got an egg white frittata and a kale mango smoothie, and I got an egg white omelette with bell pepper, arugula (my fave), and mushrooms with a fruit plate. I also had black coffee and hot lemon water.
For dinner on Thursday night, we walked across to Lure Fish House, which was INCREDIBLE! I could easily eat there every day. All of their fish is sustainable and they serve local produce, which I love!
Sam got the Lure Seafood Grill, which had oysters, scallops, shrimp, and fresh fish. She got the roasted brussels sprouts and chopped salad. I got the Steelhead with roasted asparagus and brussels sprouts. It was just as amazing as it looks, and now I am hungry all over again! Here’s a close up of Sam’s seafood grill. Our mom flew in on Friday and met us near our hotel since we had so much to do Friday morning. We ended up eating at Lure again because we loved it so much, and of course, our mom loved it as much as we did! We got the Spring Chopped Salad with no dressing, and just used olive oil and vinegar on the side. When we went again for lunch, I ordered the same thing because I loved it so much. I know what I like;)After driving over an hour back to LA from Westlake, we went to Beverly Center to shop a little, but surprisingly, we didn’t find anything to buy. Maybe it’s because we were so hungry and tired. Our mom even suggested we go to the hotel to relax and take a nap, and we both were like, “NO WAY” haha. No way are we going to spend our time on vacation taking a nap in the hotel!
For dinner on Friday, we had actually made reservations at a Mediterranean spot I found on yelp, but when we got there, the restaurant was empty, and although the waiter was really nice, there was nothing on the menu that really sounded good. Almost everything was made with butter (which we both try to avoid because it gives us an upset stomach), and it was kind of frustrating that they couldn’t prepare anything without it. So, even though I was embarrassed and HANGRY, my sister found a great spot that was super causal, but we ended up loving it! We are definitely not the type of people that have to go eat somewhere super fancy. We know what we like, and if we find it and like it, we will eat there a million times! This place was called Panini Cafe. They have several locations all over LA. We actually went there twice (insert embarrassed emoji). When we went on Friday (where I captured Sam snapchatting her meal), we were super hungry so we both got the chicken kabob with roasted broccoli AND an extra steak kabob. It was SO freaking good. It was a ton of meat, but we finished almost all of it, and even saved room for dessert later!
When we went back on Sunday before we left for the airport, we got the same thing, but this time, we just got the chicken kabob. We actually got another order of them to go for the plane ride home, which worked out perfectly! Also, everyone that works there is SO nice. They were so sweet and accommodating. They also have omelets and breakfast stuff, so next time were are there, we will definitely be going back! When we were on our way to dinner (the first restaurant that we ended up leaving), we passed by Hansen’s Cakes, which we had seen on Tori & Dean’s reality show. I remember them always getting their birthday cakes there, so it was pretty cool to see! If you can’t tell, we are reality TV junkies!
After dinner, we had been dying to try this place called Creamistry. Someone on Instagram had recommended this place, and I am so glad that she did because I LOVED it! Thanks to whoever suggested it, by the way:) They make your ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen.
There were so many flavors and toppings to choose from that they lady working there probably was ready to kill us! We are both extremely indecisive. We got the coconut milk base and went with the Nutella flavor. We added in almonds, too! OMG it was freaking incredible! I wish we had one here in Dallas.
After we got our ice cream, we headed over to Drybar for a much-needed blowout. We actually had never gotten one here before, but since we forgot shampoo, and really needed to wash our hair, it worked out perfectly! It was so relaxing and I was obsessed with all the decor and branding! She did such a good job with my hair and their shampoo smells incredible, and leaves your hair feeling super soft!We stayed at the JW Marriott in LA Live, which is right by the Staples Center. They had a great breakfast. I got an egg white omelette with all the veggies, no butter, just oil. I also got fresh fruit on the side with black coffee and hot lemon water. PS- how cute is that mini Tobasco bottle?!On Saturday, we went to the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, which was SO fun! It is definitely overwhelming, but so cool to see some brands we have worked with in the past, try TONS of ice creams and gelato, and meet up with some other bloggers. If you are a foodie, you HAVE to go at some point! So many samples and fun things! Here’s what I wore to the Expo!
LOVED Elli Quark’s booth. They had almost like a yogurt bar where you could pick out your favorite yogurt flavor and top it with your favorite toppings!
After the expo, we met up with the super adorable and sweet @shutthekaleup. If you all aren’t following her, you need to be! She is a super hard working new mama and just the cutest and most gorgeous girl inside and out! We met up at one of our favorite restaurants, True Food’s Kitchen. I ordered the Moroccan Chicken and got a side of roasted veggies with it.After talking for hours at the restaurant (so much fun!), we went to Pressed Juicery to get their Freeze, which, OH MY GOODNESS, so freaking good. If you all haven’t tried it yet, you need to! It is a soft-serve frozen treat that uses only juices from fruits and vegetables, almonds and coconuts. It is also vegan, gluten and dairy-free! I got the chocolate and vanilla swirled together with sea salt and almonds on top, and Sam got the same but added coconut and a cacao sauce on top! I can’t stop thinking about it!
These are the ingredients for the freeze that we got [LOVE the ingredients!]:
Chocolate Almond Freeze:Creamy chocolate soft serve made of only cacao, almonds, dates, vanilla bean and sea salt.
Vanilla Almond Freeze:The same creamy soft serve made without cacao only almonds, dates, vanilla bean and sea salt.
We seriously had the best time and can’t wait to go back and find new spots! If you all have any specific questions about our trip, feel free to comment below or email us!
Happy Thursday! It feels like this week is flying by! I wore this outfit a zillion months ago (sometime in the winter), and never got around to posting it! Good thing this outfit can still be worn this time of year!
I just saw that these black ripped jeans are on sale for under $33! I had been recommending these jeans to everyone when I first got them last fall and so many of you all ended up LOVING them! They only have a few sizes left, so I found these that are under $60 and almost identical!
This black lace top is super old from h&m (best store ever, by the way), but I found this one, this one, and this one that are similar to mine. I love wearing this top with skirts, leggings, jeans, and even shorts! It dresses up any outfit!
This cobalt bag is the perfect cross body or satchel bag. The cobalt isn’t available anymore, but still available in the grey color, which is a great neutral!
And, the heels: at first when we got these cobalt heels, I didn’t think I would wear them much, but I was so wrong! We wear these all of the time and they add the perfect pop of color to any outfit without being too much! This pair and this pair are similar to mine.
PS- did you all catch our recap of our stay at the Four Seasons Westlake yesterday? We will be sharing our recap of the rest of our trip tomorrow!
Also, thought this article was interesting! I own some of them, and they do work!
