If you have been following us for a while, you know we rock the dirty hair more than we would like to admit. Usually, it is a week or more before we wash it again, so we thought we would share some our tips for hiding dirty hair, and making it look presentable!
With winter here, we thought we would share another splurge vs. save! We haven’t shared one in a while, so we thought we would share some of our favorite boots and clothing pieces, with some look for less options!
We own the spanx pair, and legit have 4 pairs of them because we wear them so much. We found this look for less pair that is $29, and has gotten good reviews.
A nice poncho is something you can layer with leggings or jeans. This one is $178 and cashmere, but this look for less option is only $34 and makes a great gift, too!
This vest is so warm and can be worn with workout clothes or just every day clothes. We have size xs in it for reference. We found this option that is only $20.
This jacket is super warm and such a good piece to have for years. If you are not looking to spend that much, we found this jacket that is almost identical for only $60.
These boots are a must for winter. We have size 7 in these for reference, but if you’re looking to spend a little less, we found this option for only $50.

This sequin sparkle skirt is something you can wear for any holiday, or night out! We have on size xs on for reference.

If you’re still doing some holiday shopping for yourself or your best friend/sister/cousin/sister in law, we are sharing some fun ideas from Betsey Johnson.
Before I get into what it is like living in Dallas, I wanted to quickly share about this colorblock sweater that I am OBSESSED with from Walmart! It comes in lots of color options, is super soft, and can be worn with leggings, so win-win! And, it is only $11. I have on size S for reference. They have tons of affordable pieces you can mix and match with.
I have had a few requests to share what I love about Dallas, since I have lived here for 6 years. Of course, like any city, there are pros and cons, but overall, I do love Dallas, and if you’re considering moving here, I hope this is helpful:
If you are like us, you love attending sporting events. We have the Dallas Cowboys (football) , Dallas Stars (Hockey) , and the Texas Rangers (Baseball). There is also SMU (college) and UT Austin in Austin, only three hours away.
Central location to travel from
One of my favorite things about Dallas is that we are so central to any location. Whether you’re flying to the west coast, east coast, or overseas, you can fly direct usually!
Young professionals
There is such a mix of age groups here, but what I love is that there are so many young professionals, around our age you can meet. We live near SMU and Knox/Henderson, which is a great area for 20’s and 30’s.
Some other areas to consider are:
Oak Lawn
Deep Ellum
Uptown
M Streets
Park Cities
Knox/Henderson
Plano
Richardson
Southlake
Frisco
Great food options
There are SO many good restaurants here, whether you want bbq, steak, healthier food, or desserts. We have it all!
The holidays are here, and pretty much everyone has gotten sick, or is getting sick. We both got sick around Thanksgiving, and are finally feeling better, so we wanted to share some things we are doing to stay healthier this holiday season. With being so busy, we all forget to take care of ourselves, which is never good! Before we get into our tips, let’s talk about this athleisure outfits from lululemon.
With winter almost here, we have been shopping for comfy leggings and pants to travel in and wear from the gym to every day things. These align joggers have been on our wish list for a while, and we finally got a pair. They feel amazingly comfy on, AND we love a good jogger, so they combine two of our favorite things in one. For reference, we are wearing size 2 in this pair.
Underneath, we are wearing one of our favorite tops, this swiftly tech short sleeve crew neck. This one is super lightweight, sweat-wicking, and comes in lots of colors. We are wearing size 4 for reference.
This hooded jacket is a great layering piece for all year, especially in the winter. It is super soft and comfortable, and has thumbholes and zippered pockets. We have size 4 on for reference in the black.
We have talked A LOT about these align crops, and full disclosure, we have them in several colors 😉 This color is such a fun pop (wearing size 2 in the “moss rose” color) and if you don’t own a pair of these leggings, treat yourself! They are extremely soft, and we love that they come in different lengths, especially for us shorties!
Also, did we mention they make your butt look great 😉 With the leggings, we are wearing the same short-sleeved top in long-sleeve in a size 4. It also has thumbholes, which is great for being outdoors or running.
And, now for the ways we are staying healthier this season:
Take a daily ginger and turmeric supplement
In case you missed our An Extra Dose Podcast episode with founder of Leefy Organics, you can check that out here. Leefy Organics is an all natural and organic turmeric supplement that we personally take daily to help with inflammation, joint health, and pain. It has ginger and other great ingredients that help keep you healthy!
Load up on zinc
We take zinc daily, and it really has so many benefits, including supporting your immune system. We take this zinc supplement and add it in our water. You can also hold it under your tongue if you feel a cold coming on.
Supplement with Elderberry daily
We also take an elderberry supplement daily, just because it has so many benefits. This one is non-GMO and is great for immune support, antioxidants, and heart health.
Eat lots of fresh fruits and greens
Y’all know we load up on fruits and veggies all day. That is one of the best things you can do for yourself. If you can’t get yourself to eat all of the fruit and veggies, we suggest doing green juices!
Stay hydrated
This is an obvious one, but something we all neglect. We try to always have a water bottle with us so we remember to drink up. We also love drinking hot teas at home because it gets us to stay hydrated!
