Happy Giving Tuesday! I wanted to share some ways you can give back to families in need or those who need help, especially during the holidays! See below for all of the ways you can give back, but before I share those, I wanted to share this look with you all, all from Nordstrom.
I love the way this cardigan fits and it is such a good neutral! It is actually on sale right now (wearing xs). I am wearing it with these black ripped jeans and these snakeskin booties (wearing size 7). Underneath, I am wearing this black lace cami in size s. I picked out this entire outfit online, and then was able to pick it up right from my car using in-store pickup.
Now, here are some ways to give back this holiday season:
Is this not the perfect outfit for all of the holidays coming up?! It is almost November, aka holiday season, so we are all going to be looking for holiday outfits for Thanksgiving and other holidays. We love this ivory tunic sweater because you can wear it with leggings, like these faux leather Spanx leggings. By the way, if you don’t own these leggings already, you NEED to get some.
For reference in the leggings, we have size xs in the regular length, and size s in the petite length. They really are great quality and worth the price!
And, while we are on the topic of fall and holiday outfits, we wanted to share some of our favorite neutral lip shades for the holidays, or really any time of year!
We found this fall and holiday look all from Nordstrom. We love shopping there, especially online because they make it SO easy. We love that they have free shipping and returns, which is so helpful for the upcoming holiday shopping we are all about to get started on!
We are officially in fall wedding season, so we wanted to share some wedding guest dresses for you all! In case you missed it, we rounded up a TON of dresses and shoe options in this post. Whether you are going to a more casual wedding or dressier wedding, you want a dress that you can wear more than one time!
This fuchsia one is a great length on anyone, and we love this bright color. If you’re not into brights, or need something more subdued, this dress also comes in a lot of other color options! We are wearing size 2 in this one for reference.
We paired it with these black patent heels that are SO flattering and surprisingly comfortable. They come in a few other colors, and we are wearing size 6.5 in these.
We love both this dress and these heels because you can get so much use out of them. Wear this dress in the spring and summer with sandals, or it with cute tights and some heels in the winter.
The heels can be worn with jeans or leggings for date night!
As for bags, we wear our Gucci soho bag so much, and love that you can dress it up or down. If you are looking for a black bag, we love this one, too!
We found this bright dress and heels at Nordstrom. When we are shopping for dresses for occasions, they are our first and only stop. They also have in store pickup, and free shipping and returns, so trying on and finding a dress you like is a NO brainer!
We are all about a quick and easy makeup look! We all want glowy, and luminous makeup, so we tried out a few products recently that we really liked and wanted to share them with you!
Multi-Color Eyeshadow Palette
We think luminous makeup starts with your eyes. Eyes are the focal point on any faces, so we love highlighting our eyes with this Bobbi Brown Essential Multi-Color Eyeshadow Palette. It has a bunch of different shades that you can layer, so you can make them as intense as you want to.
We love applying a neutral shade across our lids, and then a deeper shade on top. Then we sometimes will smudge darker shades in the crease and lash lines, and under our bottom lashes.
We also will add shimmery shades to accent and highlight, which gives you that luminous look!
Matte Revolution Lipstick
We love a good neutral lip, so this Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick is one of our favorites in this “Pillowtalk Color”. It makes your lips appear fuller and we love that it leaves your lip soft, with a nice finish.
We also love this Fresh Sugar lip balm because it is super hydrating and also protects your lips from the UV rays.
Magic Away Concealer
Everyone needs a good concealer for even, luminous skin. This one leaves your skin looking flawless, and lasts for up to 15 hours. It is also water-resistant, so that is a major plus! This one is also paraban-free, fragrance-free, and alcohol free. We have the #4 shade.
Illuminator
Whether you use a primer, foundation, or illuminator, you want something that leaves your skin looking luminous and glowy. This NARS Illuminator is great to apply all over your face, or use it as a highlighter. We also love mixing it with foundation for an all-over dewy look.
Our favorite is the “orgasm” color.
We found all of these luminous beauty products at Nordstrom. They carry all of our favorite products and shopping with them is the best. You can order all of your items online, and then pick them up the same day curbside! They also offer free returns and shipping, which always helps.
Everyone knows, or should know that having a good canvas to apply your makeup is key. Of course, that starts with a good skincare regimen. After that, you need a good foundation and concealer regimen to get that skin glowy and flawless!
We wanted to share some of our current favorites that you can find at Nordstrom. Our top products are these two products from Charlotte Tilbury. We love that all of their products are paraben-free, alcohol free, and vegan.
Foundation
Of course, you need a good base layer, and that means foundation! We love this Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation because it gives you great coverage that lasts for up to 12 hours aka all day! It really smoothes your skin and gives you an all-over canvas.
We have the “Cashew Beige” color in this one!
Concealer
We love this Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic Away Concealer for under our eyes, especially! It goes on so smoothly, and leaves your skin looking flawless. We love that it lasts so long and it is water resistant. We also like applying it on our blemishes and breakouts, too.
For this, we usually apply this after we have applied our foundation under our eyes, on redness and pigmentation, and on blemishes. We typically use our ring finger to blend it in.
We love this one because it helps to mattify your face, so it’s not all shiny and it leaves your skin looking radiant. We have the #2 color for reference.
Tools
For applying makeup you need a few good tools, besides your fingers.
One of the tools we use are these Sigma Beauty Flawless in a Flash Kabuki Brush Duo. This set comes with a flat kabuki brush, which is great for blending in liquid or cream products on your skin. It also comes with a concealer kabuki brush, which is obviously great for applying concealer 😉
The other tool we swear by is this Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge Applicator & Cleanser Duo. We use this sponge applicator to apply primers, foundation, powders, and more! You can also wet it before and then apply your makeup with it for a dewy look. Also, it helps for the makeup to not be absorbed in the sponge, and more on your skin.
To clean the applicator, you just rub it on the cleanser and then rinse off, and squeeze out to remove excess. Let it dry, and use again!
Eyes
We don’t wear a ton of eye makeup, but we love this Too Faced Naked Eyes palette. It has nine hades that are great neutrals that are flattering on any skin tone. You can use them for your lids, outer corners, and inner corners.
We found all of these products to achieve a flawless face at Nordstrom. We love that they carry all of our favorite brands and products. Even better, they offer in store pickup, and curbside pickup, so you can place your order online, and within hours, head straight to Nordstrom in your pjs and wait for them to deliver your order right to you!
When we were growing, up we were always dying to have a pet of any kind, especially a dog. Our mom was not a dog person, so she didn’t want to get one or have one, especially since she knew that she would most likely be left with the responsibility to care for it. In college, we finally decided to get one since we were living on our own.
We ended up finding a super cute dog, Milly that we got when we were Sophomores in college. She is a great dog, but like anything else, is a HUGE responsibility. Long story short, she ended up living with our parents, but is still our baby.
After we had been living in Dallas for a few years, we considered getting another dog since we work from home. We knew it would be a huge responsibility and effort, so we thought it would be better to wait a little longer to be fair to the dog.
Of course, life doesn’t always go as you plan it, and we ended up rescuing an adorable dog named Lucy, who you have probably seen a lot in our stories. She is THE best thing that has happened to us. We were not expecting to have her come into our lives when she did, but we are so grateful because she is such a light!
We thought it would be a good idea, and maybe helpful for you all, if we shared some pros and cons to rescuing or bringing a dog into your lives. Of course there are SO many benefits, but it is also a huge task that will never go away.
Pros of having a dog
Let’s start with the pros, and on a positive note! There are so many, but here are a few!

Cons of having a dog
Of course, there are some downsides to having a dog. Not that they are horrible things, but some things to keep in mind!

time commitment: they need and deserve a lot of care, so be sure you’re willing to give it to them
they test your patience, and not at the best timing 😉

And on another note, we wanted to share these super soft and cozy pajamas we got from Nordstrom. They are the perfect set and come in a few color options. These are perfect for lounging around the house on a weekend, especially when you want to look cute, but stay comfortable. We have the smallest size in these and they also come in a pants version.
If you’re looking for a cozy and soft throw blanket, this one is amazing. Our dogs love laying on it and getting cozy, and we don’t mind cuddling with them under it:) This blanket would make a great gift, too!
