This is a great outfit for date night!
It is nowhere near fall weather here, but we are still putting cute look together that we hope to eventually wear! We are loving this cowl-neck knit. The color is gorgeous and it is SO comfy! These ripped jeans are super stretchy and have this really cute frayed hem, which we love. We love a good flat, especially when they have this super cute kitten detailing on them. We are not major cat fans by any means, but these are so fun! With fall here, we know everyone is ramping up for the holidays and a stressful couple of months headed our way. We wanted to share some of our favorite self-care methods with you all because we are typically very high-stress, and hope some of our methods can be helpful for y’all! Before we get into that, we wanted to talk about how great this sweater is! It is under $60 (wearing xxs for reference) and we love the marbled stitching in it. It is a great color for fall! We paired it with these jeans and cute flats, and if you are feeling like yo need more layers, you can throw on this plaid scarf with it, too!So, now for our self-care tips! We don’t do all of these at once, but if we are feeling extra stressed, or just need some time by ourselves, we will do one of the following (or sometimes a few!):
Take A Walk: Taking a walk outside in the fresh air to clear your mind is the best. It seems silly, but it really helps so much! You can even listen to a podcast or music while you’re walking, too!
Take A Yoga Class: Maybe don’t go for a power yoga type of class, but something that is more zen like a flow class or yin yoga always makes us feel so much more rejuvenated and refreshed!
Treat Yourself To A Mani/Pedi: We are typically the nuts on our phones at the nail salon, but it is good to take this time to really relax and decompress!
Refloxology/Massage: We love going to reflexology (cheaper massage)! It feels amazing and who doesn’t love a message?!
Apply A Face Mask: We don’t do this enough, but treating your skin and pampering it is always nice! we love this face mask.
Binge Watch TV: We could watch anything on Bravo all day long. It just takes your mind off everything you have going on, and not to mention, super entertaining!
We found all of these great fall pieces at Modcloth. They have so many cute fall pieces, all at an affordable price! We love their selection of chunky knits and cute flats, like the ones we are wearing, and of course, plaid!
Y’all know that we are frequent travelers, and we had a reader question that we are so excited to answer today! We know that a lot y’all don’t really like traveling. Lets be honest, who actually enjoys it?! Between having to pack all your belongings up, getting to the airport early, going through security and basically unloading again, to then waiting for your flight to be delayed, and then sitting on the plane, and then waiting for your luggage.. oh man, it is exhausting! We don’t personally have a fear of flying, but we wanted to share our tips for flying easier (and less stressful) and some of our must-have travel items!
Before we get into that, we wanted to share this cute, but comfy look that would actually be great for traveling! A comfy tee, like this varsity tee is great because it looks more put-together than your typical baggy tee, and who doesn’t love grey? We paired it with our favorite stretchy ripped jeans (great for long flights) and come in a darker color, too and these olive booties that go with everything! This bag is a great everyday bag and it matches everything. We don’t typically like to travel in anything but workout clothes, haha, but this is a great outfit that basically feels like you’re in leggings and a comfy tee, just more acceptable!
Now, onto our travel tips! We are not major fans of traveling, but we have gotten used to it over time, and we think there a few things that just make traveling so much easier:
Book An Aisle Seat:
This just makes it better for us. A lot of people prefer window seats, but we both prefer an aisle. You don’t have to bug anyone to get out of your seat, and it just feels more open to us!
Bring Things To Occupy Yourself Like Books, Magazines, Music, Podcasts:
We love bringing magazines or listening to podcasts while we are traveling. It just asks the time pass by quicker and takes your mind off the flight.
Buy Seats With Extra Leg Room:
We think it is totally worth it to buy the seats with extra leg room! It just makes you feel less trapped and constricted in those tiny seats!
Bring A Neck Pillow:
If you have a good neck pillow, you are more likely to be able to sleep better, which can make all the difference. This neck pillow has great reviews!
Think Of The Experiences You Will Get To Have:
Think about all the fun things you will get to see and the people you will get to meet on your journeys. If you don’t make yourself go on the flight, you’ll miss out on so many opportunities!
Travel With A Buddy:
Traveling with someone makes it so much better! You have someone to talk to, and someone to keep you company!
We also wanted to share some of our favorite travel products below:
We found all of these super cute pieces at Nordstrom. We love shopping in their Young Contemporary section because they have a great selection of trendy pieces at great price points! The brands in this section are exclusive to Nordstrom. What is even cooler is that the brand where this varsity tee is from, offers a “give back” incentive where every purchase prompts a donation to empower youth. Learn more about it here!
One of our favorite retailers, Shopbop, is having a major sale on EVERYTHING! They carry a ton of our favorite retailers like Rebecca Minkoff, Levis, Tory Burch, Eberjey, and One Teaspoon. This is a great time to stock up on fall pieces, or some summer pieces that are majorly marked down!
You can receive 20% off order under $500, and 25% off orders of $500 or more with code EOTS17.
You all know we love, love, love our David Yurman pieces that we wear pretty much on the daily. We also love some dainty layered necklaces, so we are so excited to share today’s post with y’all! In case you have missed our other posts on Switch, you can check them out in this post and this post. What we love about Switch, is that you can rent designer jewelry each month for just $29/month. They are a designer jewelry rental subscription service that gives members access to brands like David Yurman, Hermès, Dior, and more! Their site, which they recently redesigned is gorgeous, and super user-friendly! We love that they are constantly adding new pieces to their collections to keep it fresh!Their base plan allows you to have one piece at a time for $29 a month, but you can also choose other plans that allow you to have more than one piece per month if you want more options!
The process is super easy: Subscribe, Style, Switch.
Sign Up (be sure to use our code ‘DOUBLEDOSE’ for half off your first month!)
Choose the pieces you would like to rent (you can see exactly what is in stock at any given time, and what is being rented out).
After you have selected your pieces, they send them right to you! What we love specifically about Switch is that you can keep the pieces for as long as you would like, and when you’re ready to switch them out, you simply send them back with the prepaid label (free shipping both ways, YAY!), and choose your new pieces out.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. We ran our first 10K yesterday, and have definitely caught the runner bug, haha. We will probably not be running any major runs anytime soon, but a half is definitely our goal one day. In case you missed our post on our running tips, you can read that here. Since it is officially fall, we wanted to share a roundup of our fave cozy cardigans that you can wear all fall, and into winter!
Cardigans are a staple for fall in our books. You can wear them with jeans, leggings, shorts, dresses, etc, or you can even wear them to lounge around at home! We are all about them.
#1 is super cozy and you will just want to sleep in it!
