Happy Saturday! One of our favorite retailers is having a huge sale for a couple more days, so we wanted to share our picks! This is a great time to stock up on coats, loungewear, activewear, home decor, and winter accessories! See more sales in this post.
Happy Monday! We have some GREAT news for you all to kick off this week: Nordstrom is having a big fall sale (up to 40% off!), so we wanted to share some of the pieces we scooped up with you all that would make great gifts for your family and friends (or yourself!) Can’t beat 40% off, are we right? The first thing we had to share with you all that is probably our top purchase from the sale is this striped tee. It is marked down to just $15! We got it in xs in a few colors and it just fits loose in all the right places! We paired it with these black booties (also marked down to $90)! They come in a neutral, cream color and are the perfect height! We love that they are pointed, so they’re super flattering and make your legs look way longer. They are normally $150, so this is a great deal on them! For accessories, this satchel bag is a great every day bag and is also marked down 40% off! You can wear it crossbody or on your arm.For the grey cardigan, this exact one is not marked down, but is a great buy! We did find this one that is on sale!As far as the jeans go, this pair is a bit more of a splurge, BUT they fit amazingly, and they’re marked down 40% off (We got size 24)!*See more sale picks at the bottom of this post!*

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and we CANNOT wait! It is one of our favorite holidays, mainly because of the food, but also it is a time when family and friends are all together, which we love! That also means all of us will be traveling a lot, whether it is by car or plane, and you’re going to need something comfy (and cute) to travel in! We wanted to share some ideas and tips with y’all, so today, we are teaming up with Nordstrom to give you all some easy outfits! In case you missed our Thanksgiving outfit ideas, you can check those out here. When we are looking for something comfy and cute to travel in, we always go for some kind of legging because they feel like the closest thing to pajamas, and they are stretchy! This pair of moto leggings from Nordstrom is a great option because they aren’t just a flat, boring legging, and the grey goes with everything. They also come in an olive color, which we have, too! We got a size xxs in these (they run a little large!)
You could also opt for a jogger type of pant that will also be comfortable, but stylish like the pairs here.To pair with the leggings, we like a breathable, looser top like this ribbed cardigan/tee. It is SOOOO soft and warm, and you could always layer a hoodie or sweatshirt like these on top if you get cold. As for shoes, we usually opt for some ankle booties like this pair that are comfortable and keep your feet warm. They are easy to get on and off through security, etc, too. We always wear this pair of socks with them! You could also do a slip on sneaker like some of these.
Happpppy Monday! We are ready to conquer this week, and crossing our fingers that it won’t be pouring for an entire week straight again. The rain is so nice when you can just lounge around all day, but when you have to actually be productive, it is a whole other story. We did get a lot done last week, and we had a busy weekend filled with really fun things. On Friday, we went to a Dallas Stars game with our boyfriends, and on Saturday we went to the Texas State Fair, which ended up being a crazy adventure that we will definitely be talking about in our podcast! Speaking of food, we wanted to share some things we order at our favorite local spots. We shared some of our favorite date night spots in this post, and how to eat healthier at restaurants in this post. You can also find all things ‘Dallas’ related here. Before we get into our favorite spots, we wanted to share this easy look with you all! We know so many of you all have asked about certain pieces in this look, which is all from Nordstrom! They have the besttttt stuff for fall and winter, and we are obsessed with their in-store pickup and free shipping.
We wanted to to put them in an outfit for you to see, and talk about our favorite part of this entire outfit: this faux leather moto jacket. It is under $100, had a detachable hood, so you can transition from day to night. It also comes in some other colors, but we think black is always a classic. It also has really cute gold hardware on it.We paired it with our most worn ripped jeans. You guys, this pair is AMAZING. They are stretchy, aka super comfortable, come in 4 washes (we are wearing the “sky” wash), and they are higher waisted! We have a size 25 for reference. As far as accessories, this bag is a great tote and can be worn on your shoulder, or on your wrist. You all know we LOVEEE these slip on sneakers. They are so comfortable, and as you all know, you can wear them with so much!Oh, and if you’re looking for a good basic tee, this white long-sleeved pocket tee is a great one! We have it in size xs in a few colors. Now, onto our favorite spots recently, and what we typically order:
Flowerchild: This is such a great spot any time of day! We love their Chopped Vegetable Salad (with dressing on the side) and the Mother Earth Bowl with the vinaigrette on side. Their plates are also really yummy (we love the Grilled Asparagus, Indian Spiced Cauliflower, and Spicy Japanese Eggplant with salmon.
True Food Kitchen: This one is similar to Flowerchild, which we love. Our favorites are the Farmer’s Market Crudités with hummus instead of the dips, the Kale Guacamole, and the Charred Cauliflower. The Seasonal Ingredient salad is really good and so is the Mediterranean Quinoa Salad. The Grilled Salmon and Moroccan Chicken are super yummy, too!
Gather Kitchen: we LOVE this spot! It is a great grab-and-go spot. We love to Build Our Own Bowls with zucchini noodles and cauliflower rice, and add alllll the veggies! For sauces, we do either the Six-Pepper Mexican or Roasted Bell Pepper. For dessert, their Chocolate Mousse is to die for!
Snappy Salads: We love a good salad, and this place has the best salads. We usually get the large salad and do the ‘Create-Your-Own’ option. We get a mix of romaine, spinach, and spring mix and add stuff like tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, celery, broccoli, onions, artichokes, grapes, and mushrooms. For dressing, we usually have them squeeze a fresh lemon or lime and then get a side of olive oil and salsa to put on it. We also put sea salt and black pepper on it. They also have protein options like salmon and chicken you can add, or some avocado!
Feed Company Eatery : One of us actually went here the other night for dinner. It has a great atmosphere, and has something for everyone to eat. For appetizers, we love the Hummus, Arugula + Egg Salad, and the Salmon Teriyaki!
Sevys Grill: This is a great dinner spot! We love their Sevy’s Chop Salad and the Fresh Vegetable Platter. If you’re craving seafood, the Fresh Bay of Fundy Salmon Fillet is really good!
Lala’s Mexican Cuisine: One of our obsessions right now! We love the Guacamole with the Siete Chips and Jicama Chips. Their Mexican Bowl is really good and their Veggie Fajitas are to die for! We get them in lettuce wraps and sub the rice and beans for riced broccoli. We also love the Enchilada and get our wrapped in a zucchini tortilla with vegan cheese!
Kozy Kitchen: A great brunch spot, lunch spot, and dinner spot. We love their Veggie Connection Omelet for breakfast or brunch. For lunch or dinner, we love the Greek Salad with Shrimp or The Kozy Salad (you can add chicken or salmon to these, too!) Their Wild Salmon plate is delicious and we love the Veggie Plate without the risotto.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had the best weekend. We just got back from Mexico from the most incredible trip with some amazing influencers. We are feeling so inspired, and will be planning more fun content to share with you all in the next couple of months, so stay tuned! We have gotten a few requests to share an easy day-to-night look for you all that would even make a great date night outfit! We actually got most of this outfit during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so we can’t wait to show you how you can transform this look! This cami is one that we have in several colors (wearing size s) and it is just too good to pass up! You can wear it with jeans, or dress it up with a pencil skirt or some black jeans! We paired the cami with one of our go-to cardigans (wearing xxs) and some dark jeans (wearing size 24) for an easy daytime look. You could wear some slip on sneakers like these or mules like these. To take this look into evening, or for a comfortable, but put-together date night look, we styled our FAVORITE dressy sandals with it. We honestly hadn’t really thought of styling these sandals with jeans, but after one of us wore them to a wedding, and loved how they looked and felt, we thought, “why not?” We ended up loving how they looked with some dark denim, or maybe some light wash ripped denim! BTW- they fit true-to-size!This bag is a great every day one because it goes with pretty much everything AND it holds a lot. Also, you can wear it on your arm, shoulder, or cross-body!This entire day-to-night look is from Nordstrom. It is our favorite place to grab any kind of item for fall, and with their in-store-pickup, online shopping is a no brainer. It couldn’t be easier! They also have curbside pick-up, which is even better because you don’t even have to get out of your car. We used it most recently to pick up an order when we were in our pjs, haha!

In case you all haven’t checked out our posts covering ALLLL things Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you can find them all here! If you still haven’t had a chance to shop the BIG sale, we are sharing some of our favorite pieces that are still in stock in most sizes! There are seriously sooo many good things left, so don’t feel discouraged!
This sale is one of the largest sale events for Nordstrom, and good news: the sale is still going through Sunday, August 5th. You can stock up on items that don’t normally go on sale, before they go back to their original full-price in just a couple of days!
Although you can shop the sale in-store, our preference (and the less hectic and stressful way) is online! You can use their amazing in-store pickup feature, which allows you to pick up your items the same day (hello, instant gratification!).
We want to highlight some of our favorite pieces included above:
These booties #1 are so comfy and look great with jeans, dresses, and leggings (we got a size 7).
This super cozy wrap #2 can be worn draped behind the neck, or as a longer wrap (we got size xs).
