We have gotten some requests to share some lightweight layering pieces for fall. Some of y’all may already have cooler temps by where you live and can pull out all your sweaters and scarfs, but for the rest of us who live in warmer temps, we wanted to share some options you can wear that are fall-ish, without being too heavy and literally sweating, haha.
This red cardigan (#1) comes in several colors and is really thin and light, so you won’t be sweating through it. Cardigans (#2) and (#3) are also great options and comes in several colors!
We own a few kimono-type pieces and love how light they are on top of a cami or tee. This one (#4) is great with black jeans or leggings!
A great basic lightweight v-neck sweater is a great piece to wear with jeans or shorts. This striped one (#5) is super cute and comes in several colors. This grey one ($6) we own in grey and black and is so soft!
If you’re looking for some neutral sweaters that are lighter weight, but also sweater-looking, #7 and #8 are both really cute options!
For jackets, this fleet jacket (#9) can be worn all year round. It is great for layering on top of any type of top! The vest version (#10) is also a great piece on top of dresses, tees, and sweaters.
Many of y’all may not know that our grandma suffered from breast cancer, and so now, it is very close to our hearts. We have walked in several Race For The Cures, and love getting to give back or donate in any way we can. What better way to do that than shopping for yourself (or someone else), while also donating to a great cause?! We wanted to round up our favorite pink products that are not only adorable, but also donate part of their proceeds to help breast cancer research and prevention!
Love a good sports bra! (#12) This one offers medium support and coverage and twelve percent of sales from this bra will be donated to Recovery on Water (ROW), an organization and rowing team that empowers women with breast cancer to connect with other survivors and “become active in their recovery.”
This Sigma flat kabuki brush (#14) is perfect for applying foundation or bb cream. It has super soft bristles and twenty percent of proceeds from this brush will go to Bright Pink, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast and ovarian cancer prevention and early-detection education for young women.
We are major fans of anything Bobbi Brown. This powder (#7) can be used as a blush or or all-over bronzing shimmer to keep your glow lasting all day. For every purchase of the set, $11 will be donated to the BCRF.
We use our S’well bottles ALL of the time. This bikini pink version (#3) is so fun and keeps your drinks hot or cold. During the month of October, 20% of the purchase price for this color will go to the BCRF.
We actually tried these GoMacro bars (#1) a while back and loved the taste of them! You can purchase them individually or by the tray, but either way, 10% of all sales from the Sunny Uplift bars will go to the Keep a Breast Foundation, which is dedicated to educating and empowering young people with prevention resources through large-scale campaigns like I Heart Boobies (of silicone bracelet fame).
We don’t own a pair of these APL sneakers yet (#5), but we will be buying some of these now! After the founders of APL lost their grandmother to breast cancer, they made it part of their company’s mission to serve others battling the disease. For each pair sold, the brand will donate 20% of the retail price for this edition of their incredibly comfortable and functional Phantom sneakers to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
These Jack Rogers’ sandals (#2) are a great pair and we own them in a different color, but how cute is this light pink?! 10% of sales for the Blush Lauren Sandal will be donated to the BCRF.
Y’all know we loveeee anything David Yurman! This bracelet (#15) is a special edition and 20% of the purchase price goes to BCRF.

We also wanted to share some tips on preventing breast cancer with the help of Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We are only 26 and have both gotten mammograms, so it is never too early!
1. BCRF advises that keeping your weight in check and staying physically active are two important aspects of prevention. Speak to your doctor about what a “healthy weight” looks and feels like to you, and make an exercise plan that works for your body and schedule.
2. Avoid drinking too much alcohol, and don’t smoke! Smoking comes with additional risks of cancer, but both of these things can contribute to weakening your immune system.
3. Find out your family history and talk to your doctor about when you should be getting regular screenings. If you have a history of breast cancer, your doctor may want to have you checked more frequently or want to start your checkups at a younger age.
4. Get familiar with your own body and know your “normal” so that when you give yourself at-home exams, you’re aware of any new bumps, lumps, or signs.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. We went to the pumpkin patch at the Dallas Arboretum on Saturday with our boyfriends, and it was so much fun! We were literally sweating, but we got some cute pics, and even bought some pumpkins to carve, so we are super excited.
We wanted to share some of the great Columbus Day sales taking place, in case you all want to do some online shopping;) We all know it is a Monday hobby, haha. This is the perfect time to stock up on on fall goodies!
In case you all didn’t know, we both attended The University Of Texas At Austin, so of course, wearing boots on game day is a must! If y’all went or are attending school in the south, you all know what we are talking about;) We had a few requests to share how we style our game day boots, so we thought we would write up a post on it! We honestly never thought we would ever wear cowboy boots, but here we are!
Some of our favorite ways to style boots are by pairing them with a more feminine piece like a romper or dress. For this game day look, we paired a burnt orange romper with a chambray button down and some turquoise necklaces layered together.
This picture was actually taken in college, and we love pairing a white jean, dark jean, or even a teal jean with cowboy boots. We would usually wear the jeans with a plaid shirt in our school colors, or a sweater! This game day look is from a couple of years ago. We paired some cutoff shorts in our school colors (you could wear any color short) with a basic white tank and a statement necklace. You could also wear a romper in your school or team’s colors with boots, too! Sam had changed into flats because her feet were hurting, haha.
This is another outfit idea from our college days. We all are wearing a mix of outfit ideas, so this should give y’all great inspo! Sam is wearing an orange mini skirt with a longer chambray button down and a statement necklace. Olivia paired some lace shorts with an orange tee, and I am wearing a fun, printed dress in my school colors.
We wanted to share some of our tips for styling cowboy boots, especially if you’re not typically someone who would wear them frequently:
