Having a love for fashion means we usually know what we like. We definitely have the same taste in clothes and share EVERYTHING. We normally shop for ourselves, but were recently introduced to a service called Trunk Club. You may have heard of it before, but if you haven’t, it is a women’s and men’s outfitting service. Trunk Club offers a unique personal shopping experience that allows your personal stylist to handpick a curated trunk to your specific needs. These items can be anything from shoes, bags, clothes, and accessories specifically in your size and to fit your personal style. The best part: it gets delivered right to your door, so you don’t have to go anywhere!
What I love about Trunk Club is that you are connected with a real person, a stylist, who is there to select pieces for you! Our stylist, Marissa, was so sweet! I chatted with her on the phone several times, and we had so much in common, so it made my experience that much better!
So, how does Trunk Club work?
When you sign up, you are set up with a personal stylist. You can sign up HERE!
After you sign up, your stylist will set up a call to get to know you, discuss your style preferences, sizing, events or vacations coming up, etc.
Your stylist will then put together a trunk of items based on your phone meeting.
Once your trunk arrives at your door, you will have 10 days to try all the items on in the comfort of your own home to decide which ones are your favorites!
Your stylist will follow up with you a few days after receiving to the trunk to discuss sizing, etc.
Once you make your decisions, all you have to do is drop off your trunk to the nearest UPS OR schedule a pick-up via your stylist or app.
When you sign up for Trunk Club, you will get free shipping, and will only pay for the items you end up keeping. If you sign up today and tell you friends about it, you’ll get $50 for each person that spends $50 or more when they sign up with your name. How cool is that?! Who doesn’t want free clothes?
Overall, I was kind of unsure with how much I would like or dislike this service. I absolutely loved it. Even though I have no issues shopping online and picking my own pieces out, there were some items I would have never selected on my own, and I ended up LOVING them, and actually keeping them.
I would recommend this service to anyone who hates shopping, doesn’t have time to go pick stuff out, or just wants some newer pieces that are unique and different than what you’d typically pick out!
If you follow us on snapchat (sbelbel; alexis.belbel) or Instagram (@samanthabelbel; @alexis.belbel), you may have seen that we recently went to NYC to for the Nike #Unlimited Innovation event. When we headed out there, we weren’t really sure what we were going to be seeing or doing, but it ended up being SO much fun and SO interesting!
In short, on Tuesday morning, we jetted of to NYC. We arrived in the afternoon, and checked into the Grand Soho Hotel (such a cool boutique hotel located right in the heart of Soho). Then we changed into workout gear (I know, best event ever!), and headed over to the Nike venue down the street. The venue space was super cool and bright (just what I would expect from Nike).
The coolest part..we got to sit down with track & field legend, Jackie Joyner Kersee! She was SO incredibly sweet and I loved what she talked about. She was so humble and talked about mentally preparing for the races. She also talked about how she had food allergies and how she had to worry about that when preparing for the races. My favorite part is when she talked about how fashion was important to her. She is all about ‘look good, feel good’. I am ALL about that! It’s the same idea as buying new workout gear and getting motivation to kill a workout and just feeling baller. Of course, after we chatted a bit, Alexis and I had to ask for a photo! After meeting Jackie, we headed over to the cutest restaurant, Gilligan’s. It’s all nautical themed and had the yummiest food! The table got watermelon margaritas in mason jars (I know, so cute!), margarita pizza, pita and avocado, and Alexis and I got the Branizno, which was amazing! After dinner and drinks, we all headed back to the Nike venue for the main event. The main focus of the event was to preview the brand new, never before seen, Team USA design and innovation for Rio this year. Within the venue, we saw the latest innovations within both equipment and apparel across all sports such as basketball, track & field, soccer, tennis, golf, and more. We were in such awe of all of the amazing products we saw! Everything from super rich and bright color palettes, material and technology that helps to reduce drag and weight and increase aerodynamics. By the time we had seen everything in the space, we truly knew why Nike is known for obsessing the athlete from head to toe. Photo c/o Nike
Within the space, there were several different rooms. The first room had all of the official USA Olympic uniforms for all sports. The second room was a room full of flyknit kicks all in the same bright neon yellow and pink hues (basically, heaven!). Of course, Alexis and I were completely obsessed with the colors Nike chose! The story behind it is pretty cool, too! Nike imagined athletes’ travel to tropical Brazil and thought about beetle shells. They took the bright and irqedsedent colors as inspiration to create Nike’s new signature unlimited colorway collection. In motion, the bright colors illustrate a glowing path that represents both the athlete’s unlimited abilities and how Nike views the world, “bursting with unlimited inspiration and design possibilities. Even cooler, did you know that FlyKnit technology delivers maximum performance with 60% less waste! More here! Upstairs, they had all of the throwback basketball kicks and gear, and wait for it…basketball legend, Scottie Pippin. So cool, right?! We also got to see the designer collections such as NikeLab + Gyakusou and Nikelab + .After browsing through the venue and eating some delicious appetizers, we listened to an interview with Jackie Joyner Kersee, Scottie Pippin, and Michael Johnson. They were all so humble and super interesting to listen to!Photo c/o Nike
After the event, Mai Lyn from Deep Fried Fit, Alexis, and I headed over to Bubbys and got a yummy salad. We were craving some greens after not having that many all day. We had intentions of going there for dessert, but what can we say, we like to eat healthy! Don’t worry, we had quest bars to cure that sweet tooth when we worked in our rooms that night! The next morning, Alexis and I headed to the hotel gym for a quick workout and then walked over to 12 Chairs (so yummy!). We loved that we could walk around to good restaurants! After that, we went back to the hotel to get ready and then walked back to the Nike venue for the Summer of Sport series and another look at the space (minus the huge crowd!). This time was super cool because we got to sit down with one of the Nike designers and got a one on one explanation of EVERYTHING! It was SO interesting! I could have listened all day! I will be completely honest, had I not learned about all of this, I would have just said ‘cute gear,’ but never realized all of the time and innovation behind it. First up, she talked about their most exiting innovation within track & field, track spikes. Besides looking super badass, they minimize weight via Nike Aeroswift technology featuring recycled polyester. The fabric is also super breathable with engineered mesh and integrates Nike AeroBlades (formed nodes that channel air around the athlete, resulting in the greatest drag reduction of any Nike track and field kit to date). Even better, in addition to the gear, Nike came out with leg and arm sleeves, and even adhesive patches with AeroBlades! This technology was in the making for quite some time. They used wind-tunnel testing on mannequins the same shape and size as the company’s various track and field athletes. Nike also used the same idea to create a breathable bib made out of perforated micro layer knit with tape instead of the traditional paper and safety pin bib. More on that here!
The designer also talked about some of the innovations within the basketball uniforms, such as an elastic waist minus the traditional drawstring for the first time! She then went into the medal uniforms that all athletes will wear on the stand. How cool do they look at night!?The NikeLab Dynamic Reveal Jacket is ribbed on the arms, which allows for breathability and mobility, and also shows ribbons of red and blue when in motion. The pants also have the same vertical ribbed zone that offers the same breathability and bright patriotic colors when moving. The jacket will be available for purchase later this month. More here!
After learning SO much about the innovation behind the Olympic gear, we were hangry (big surprise)! We walked around for a few hours and ate our favorite restaurant, Westville! Then, we headed back to the hotel and off to the airport! We had a blast! It was a quick but eventful trip! We hope to get back soon!
With July 4th in just a couple of days (can you believe it?!), we thought we would share a couple of outfit ideas to wear to a BBQ or picnic. Of course, I am sure we will all by the pool and in a swimsuit at some point, but for some events, you want to look put-together and chic! It is SO hot in Texas right now, so the last thing I want to do is wear something tight or stuffy. This flowy tank is perfect for this weather. This outfit is great for an outdoor barbecue or cookout. The black criss-cross cami is super breathable and light and is super chic, but also has some edge to it with the detailing at the top. We paired it with some white distressed jeans that are perfect for summer. Can we talk about how CUTE this watermelon bag is? I mean, isn’t it SO perfect for this holiday weekend? It can be worn with dresses, shorts, etc, but I just love the pop it brings to this outfit. I also paired it with these gold and black espadrille wedges that are super comfy because of the platform, but give you some heigh (which I always need, haha). And, for a little bit of a different look, how cute is this lace, flowy dress?! This one is perfect for a barbecue or outdoor party because you can pair it with some red or blue sandals, or even a red bag to get festive!{ Lace Flowy Dress | Floral Sandals | Ray Ban Aviators | BRACELETS: David Yurman Cable Bracelets here, here, and here | RINGS: David Yurman Ring here and Diamond Bar Ring | WATCH: Michele Deco Watch }The lace detailing on the top is so delicate, and is super flattering on any body! We are smaller in our chests, and this fit perfectly. The back is also adorable with the criss-cross straps! I love that the bottom is longer, but not too long that you can wear flats with it!We paired the dress with these floral sandals that add the perfect summer pop of color! All of the pieces we are wearing can definitely be worn for different occasions and other barbecues the rest of the summer and then transition into fall! We are all about versatile pieces!Shop more of our favorite summer pieces here, here, and here. We hope you all have some fun plans for July 4th. It is one of our favorite holidays. I just love how everyone gets so into it and really shows their patriotism. Plus, how cute are red, white, and blue together?! We are going to be by the pool at our parents’ house in El Paso. We can’t wait to grill, relax with our family, and just enjoy the sunshine!

How cute is this embroidered tank? It is only $13! Such a steal! It does run a little small, FYI! We paired it with our favorite shorts that come in a ton of colors and fit super well! How cute is this striped clutch? It is marked down to just $6. Another steal!
These wedges are older, but this pair is almost identical! Hope you’re having a great week so far! We are off to NYC today for a day for an exciting trip with Nike. Follow along on our snapchats {alexis.belbel} and {sbelbel}!
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great and relaxing weekend. If you all didn’t catch our snapchats, Samantha and I were actually apart this weekend (so shocking, I know!). We are typically always together, or at least, in the same city, but this weekend, she was away at a friend’s lake house, and I was in Dallas!
She wasn’t very good about writing out her workouts this week, so I am just sharing mine this week. We typically do similar workouts, if you all haven’t noticed already, so you all probably won’t notice! Anyways, as always, we will be sharing all of our workouts and eats from the past week. Again, I ate out a TON, haha, but I made sure to take pictures of everything I ate out for the most part. PS- we usually snapchat a ton of our meals [sbelbel] and [alexis.belbel]
Here’s what our workout schedule looked like this past week:
MONDAY: flywheel [sign up for a free class here!] we LOVE it!
TUESDAY: arms + cardio
WEDNESDAY: legs + cardio
THURSDAY: chest + triceps + cardio
FRIDAY: shoulders + cardio
SATURDAY: legs + cardio
SUNDAY: back + cardio
PS- you can save each of these workout images to your phone for easy access at the gym!
On Saturday and Sunday, I worked out with my boyfriend, and while we didn’t workout “together” it was fun! Before we share our meals, just wanted to share our favorite clothing pieces this week (just click to shop them directly!)
And, now for the meals from this past week. These are totally out of order, so I apologize!
Last Sunday, my boyfriend and I went on a 9.4 mile walk/run and were STARVING afterwards, so we went to Genghis Grill and made our own stir-frys. I love this spot because you can pick out exactly what you want! I always get a ton of seafood, chicken, veggies, and then do no sauce. I just use the sriricha after it is cooked. I also get cabbage and an egg mixed in with it! Since I stay away from butter and soy sauce, I just asked them to cook it with water!Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to 18th and Vine in Dallas. We were starving and it was SO good. We didn’t even get any sides, but we did get brisket, burnt ends, and this jalapeño sausage. It was amazing! When I got home, I ate a ton of veggies and then I was ready to explode, haha. Yesterday morning, I made my boyfriend and I some chocolate chip pancakes. I have to eat them every day;) On Saturday, my boyfriend and I went to Buzzbrews for breakfast. I got the ‘Californiacation’, which is an egg white omelet with veggies and a side of fruit! I also had a ton of coffee. They have a coffee bar so it’s self-serve!After our workout on Saturday, we grabbed salads at Snappy Salads. I love this place because they give you so much, unlike the other places I have been to! I made my own with a ton of veggies, grilled chicken, and balsamic vinegar! We went and hung out with some of our friends by the pool so we snaked on some hummus and veggies and then grilled some burgers.
By the time I got home, I cleaned the house, and worked a little and then was ready for dinner. Since I had been eating out all day, I was ready for a home-cooked meal, haha. I cooked some chicken thighs in a pan with black pepper and then roasted some brussels sprouts, eggplant and bell peppers with olive oil and then sautéed mushrooms and onions with olive oil in a pan. It was all so good! On Friday, we met up with a friend for dinner at Mudhen’s Meats and Greens at the Dallas Farmer’s Market. I can’t stay away from okra and roasted chicken! On Friday, we met up with a friend for lunch at Villa-O. I got the chicken paillard, grilled. It comes with arugula and a zucchini noodle salad. SO good!On Thursday, we picked up a meal from Snap Kitchen. I got the ‘Naked Chicken’ which was so good! Highly recommend it! For dinner on Wednesday, I sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, and onions in a pan and then had grilled chicken and roasted brussels sprouts, and eggplant. On Tuesday, we had date night and went to Tillman’s Roadhouse. I got the roasted chicken (typical) and we shared the mushrooms, which were really yummy! On Monday, we went to Flywheel, and afterwards, the last thing I wanted to do was cook, so we went to our favorite spot, Eatzis!
Happy Sunday! Hope you all are having the best weekend. We have quite a busy week next week, so we are trying to get everything done. There are just not enough hours in the day!
