I don’t even have to talk about how obsessed I am with anything off-the-shoulder. I know that this romper is long-sleeved, but it is super lightweight and thin, so you don’t feel super hot in it. Also, how fun is the print? I am such a sucker for floral print, and I don’t usually go for reds, but I love the color in this one.
I am wearing a size S (I am 5’1″) and very petite for reference. Oh yeah, did I mention that it is under $17! HECK yes!I paired it with my favorite lace up sandals that I have in silver, too. These have seriously been on repeat all summer long. They are actually really comfy and I have walked a ton in them with no blisters!PS- we had a slight panic attack on Sunday when our blog was not working. It wasn’t down for any of you all, but we couldn’t write any posts, so it was SUPER frustrating and I feel SO behind now. So, that is why there are two blog posts up today, haha.
The good news is, it is all fixed up and now I can get back on track! I am definitely a creature of habit and like to get stuff done as early as possible, so the blog not working gave me major anxiety! This chain bag is actually super lightweight, and my mom actually owns it in black because she loved mine so much, she copied me! Hope you all have a great Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by! Xo
You all already know by now that we always have to have our nails done! We love getting to wear fun, bright pops of colors on our nails in the summertime. I often switch back between bright, neon colors, and then revert back to white or a light pink color. I love doing whites or neutrals because you can’t see it as much when your nails grow out or chip!
I get asked SO much about this light pink color I am wearing below. This is one of my FAVORITE colors hands down. It is the perfect amount of pink, but not too sheer!
Of course, what better way to show off you pretty mani than with a yummy treat! One of my favorite refreshing summer treats is ice cream. I have been loving these Ice Cream Bars. The Dark Chocolate Raspberry is INCREDIBLE, and the English Toffee Crunch is the perfect amount of crunch on top. These are both Weight Watchers Ice Cream Products, and are both under 70calories per bar. The bars are incredible tasting and free from artificial flavors!
I found mine at my local Walmart in the freezer section, along with some other yummy Weight Watcher Ice Cream products below. Can’t wait to try them all! Here are more of my favorite colors for Summer:
1.) Light Blue/ Periwinkle: Wore this one time and got so many compliments on it! Such a cute color.2.) White: Wear this 90% of the time. Such a classic!3). Teal: I don’t know that I have tried this color before, but I think it would be so cute for a beach vacation! 4.) Light Peach: I love this pastel peach color. It would look great with a good tan! 5.) Light pink: great natural for all-year-round!6.) Bright Coral: I usually do this one on my toes!7.) Hot Pink: Can’t beat a good hot pink color and toes or nails!8.) Fun, Creative Nails: How cute are these?! I don’t know that I have the patience to do these, but these are the colors I would use for them:
Today is our 25th birthday! I thought it would be fun to do 25 facts about us (some of which you probably will already know if you read the blog regularly)! We are currently in Miami with our mom for a little girls’ trip. We are SO excited to RELAX and lay by the beach/pool. Follow along on snapchat [alexis.belbel] and [sbelbel].
Here we go:
We were born 2 months early (preemies) and weighed EXACTLY the same amount when we were born (3lb, 1oz). Guess we knew how to share everything, even when we were babies!
We both have a hearing condition that makes us pretty deaf in our left ears (Sam had it first, and our mom thought for the longest time that she was playing her music too loudly, haha!) Apparently something in your ear hardens, and it causes you to lose hearing. I kid you not, if I am calling her name and she is laying on her left ear, she won’t hear me!
We have always been OBSESSED with clothes. We were voted “best dressed” in elementary school and high school.
We have lived together all of our lives, and shared a room growing up and a dorm in college!
We both graduated with the same degree (Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin)! Hook ’em!
We were born in El Paso, TX and grew up there. Our parents moved there initially because our dad was stationed at Ft. Bliss in the ARMY.
We both worked at Ernst & Young out of college (one of us in Fraud Investigation [Sam], and the other one in IT Auditing [Alex]).
We call each other “Sam” and “Alex”, and only call each other by our full names when we are pissed off at each other!
In high school and college we used to drink at least 6-8 diet cokes a day.
We used to be gymnasts, but quit because we didn’t want to compete.
We are SUPER petite (5’1″) and nobody ever expects us to be that tiny, haha.
We can be extremely reserved and introverted if we don’t know anybody. When we were growing up we were SO shy.
I am more open to adventurous things like roller coasters, zip lining, etc, whereas, Sam takes some persuading sometimes.
Growing up, Sam was definitely one of the more organized ones and had PERFECT handwriting, and I was the complete opposite.
I (Alexis) am an extreme germaphobe and apply hand sanitizer a million times a day.
We both got diagnosed with Hypothyroidism our Senior year of college at the same time and that is how we got into eating healthier and working out.
People NEVER think we will eat as much as we do. We order a ton of food at restaurants and they give us this look like, “You’re not going to finish that,” and I love seeing their faces when they clear off the clean plate.
At least once a day, someone thinks we are under the age of 16. At least that will work in our favor, right?
We have never been in a long-term relationship at the same time. One of us is always in a serious relationship, and the other one is single, so that definitely is tough sometimes.
We frequently find ourselves standing in front of the fridge at midnight snacking on food. I am not joking, it happens almost every night.
We love to travel. We have been to Europe, and are dying to go back to Italy again. We also would love to go to Australia and Greece!
We are super close with our parents and are their only kids. We always wanted a brother, but sometimes we are glad it is just the two of us;)
We have a major addiction to sweets, especially waffles, which is exactly how we came up with our food product, Double Dose Bakery.
We fight pretty much 24/7, but get over it in 2 minutes.
We ALWAYS overpack. No matter what. I just have an issue deciding what I want to wear ahead of time.
I am sure I could write pages of these, so if there is anything else you all want to know, feel free to reach out!
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #TheBestMe #CollectiveBiasCan you all believe it is officially June?! Where has the time gone? This week has felt so off already because of Memorial Day. Literally, all week I kept thinking it was a different day than what it really was.
Since we have been on-the-go so much and traveling a lot, I have to keep my bag stocked with all my necessities! It is literally like a mini suitcase, haha. I think I get it from my mom. She literally has everything you could ever need or want in her purse. We used to call her “bag lady”. I am definitely a caffeine addict, but sometimes instead of a coffee or tea, I want something chocolate-y and snack-y as well. These Energems are a perfect on-the-go energy snack because they keep me energized (they have about 133mg of caffeine, which is about the same as a cup of coffee), and they are also free of artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Oh, and the most important part, they are made with real dark chocolate, so that definitely won me over because this girl loves her chocolate!
They are great because they have only 50 calories per serving and have no jitters, like typical caffeine supplements. They also have vitamins B and D, which help support physical energy. Some of my other bag necessities besides caffeine are a planner to keep track of all of my appointments, meetings, errands, etc. I would be a mess if I didn’t write everything down. I used to just keep it all in my head and attempt to remember everything, but that gave me so much anxiety. Plus, I love getting to cross stuff off my list as I complete tasks. I also always have my watch and phone with me to keep track of time, and sometimes, will set alarms so I know when to stop a task and move onto the next one and be more efficient with my time. I always have my laptop/phone with me at all times in case I need to answer an email, take a call, or get a quick blog post published! We have been crazy busy for the past few months, but literally in the last several weeks, we feel like we have been running around barely being able to keep our heads above water running both our blog and our food product, Double Dose Bakery. Do you all have moments like that? I know we tend to take on a ton and put a lot of things on our plate (sometimes way too much), but we thrive on being busy and occupied at all times. I have a really tough time sitting still, and just vegging out. I know that is really terrible. I can’t even watch TV without being on my phone or laptop anymore. I need an intervention, haha. Seriously, though, I could talk about that forever.
I actually had kind of a revelation the other day when we went to White Sands. When I found out we would probably be gone most of the day, I am not going to lie, I kind of freaked out. I had SO much work to do, and it gave me major anxiety that it would be the evening by the time I got home, meaning nothing I needed to get accomplished would get done. I also knew that I would be without cell phone service or access to social media or email for that time, and it really made me nervous. Yeah, it is terrible. Anyways, I forced myself to go because I literally am glued to my work at all times, and surprisingly, it was just what I needed. So just a little of what goes on in my mind sometimes, haha. I LOVE what I do, but it can definitely take a toll on me sometimes. If you want to try these goodies out, I found the Energems in the vitamin aisle at my local Walmart.
With Summer here, we are all about showing off our favorite trends though fashion. We have always had a major love for all things fashion related! We were even voted “best dressed” in high school, and when we were growing up, we would beg our mom to take us to the mall at any given weekend. You could call us shopaholics;)
We thought we would share our favorite summer staples whether it is going on a beach vacation, running errands, grabbing brunch, or just hanging out in a casual outfit. Summer is our favorite season because it includes so many bright and cheery colors, fun accessories, tops and dresses that show off your great tans and hard work at the gym, and that pretty manicure and pedicure!
When you’re looking super cute, you of course need a yummy treat to go with your outfit! One of my favorite things to eat in the summer is ice cream. I have been loving these Giant Chocolate Fudge Bars (perfect for the chocolate lover in me!) They are one of the Weight Watchers Ice Cream Products, and are only 90 calories per bar. The bars are incredible tasting and free from artificial flavors!
I found mine at my local Walmart in the freezer section, along with some other yummy Weight Watcher Ice Cream products below. Can’t wait to try them all!
So, here are our favorite summer staples and MUST haves:
1.) Fun Swimsuits, preferably off-the-shoulder!
We love this off the shoulder top because it is super flattering on any chest size, especially smaller chests, and the stripes are just so nautical and fun! We also love mixing and matching prints for bikinis just to switch it up and keep it unique!
ALSO! We love sharing all things food related, even on our clothes! Like this super cute donut bag, this pineapple phone case, and these watermelon espadrilles!
2.) Off The Shoulder Tops
You all know we have been LOVING this trend so much. Honestly, I don’t think I will stop wearing these even after this summer. They show off the most flattering part of your body, your shoulders, and are just SO fun! And, they show off those gorgeous tans!3.) Printed Swimsuits + Reflective Sunnies
This suit was really one of our favorites this far! The print is adorable and so bright and cheery, and the halter top is super flattering and slimming for the arms. I get so many compliments on this suit and my sunglasses. At first, I felt kind of like a cop with these sunglasses, but I love how bright they are and how they really make the picture pop!4.) Pom Pom Sandals
Okay, I know these shoes sort of look like a costume at first, BUT, I promise you, they are all the rage right now. They are super cute with shorts, dresses, etc, and just add something special to any outfit. I kid you not, every single time I wear them, I get a TON of compliments!5.) Lace up Heels
I can’t even tell you how many lace up shoes we have acquired this spring/summer, but these nude ones have been the most worn version so far. They go with EVERYTHING and are so comfy! 6.) Maxi Dresses
These have been a trend for a couple of years now, but I love that even petite people like me can rock them! They are super flattering and comfy and great for traveling on a vacation! I love them with flats and wedges!7.) Rompers
Rompers are also another trend that have stuck around for a couple of years. I love them because they are so versatile and comfy. The only thing that sucks is having to basically undress every time you use the restroom, but other than that, they are great! 8.) Bright Skirts
This skirt is probably my favorite piece I have gotten all summer. It is just SO fun and bright and goes with everything! I am obsessed!

Can you all believe it is June already?! I swear, yesterday, I kept thinking it was Monday! The weather was super rainy and gross, so it made it even more like a Monday!
Luckily, this skirt is super fun and bright and brightens any yucky day! As you all can tell, I am ALL about neon colors. This skirt is no different! How fun is this striped skirt? Every time I post it or wear it, I get SO many compliments on it. AND, it is under $50. I have gotten so much use out of it and I have only had it for a month!
I love how it comes in petite sizes because even though I don’t look super short in most pictures, I am only 5’1″! The skirt also comes in regular sizes, but the petite fit great! I am wearing a 00 petite for reference, and I love that it has an elastic waist because it won’t get super tight if you get a food baby like I usually do, haha.I paired it with a white tank, but I was also thinking it would be super cute with a chambray shirt, or even something like a light pastel tank or shirt. OR, if you want to be really bright, a bright gingham button up! I may have to try that next!I also LOVE these sandals. They are super comfy and simple, and super affordable!Oh yeah, and THIS bag! How fun is it? It is actually a kids’ bag, but I just had to have it! It is super cute for a night out or just a cute summer bag for heading to brunch! It is pretty small, but it fits a phone and one of those little card holders like this one to put all your cash and credit cards in!
Hope you all have the best day and a great rest of your week! Thanks for stopping by! Xo
