These Levis ripped jeans are a pair we got years ago and still wear so often! We got a size 24 in them, but they run small!
Y’all know alllll about these Tory Burch Miller sandals, and we love them. We literally wear ours every single day, haha. We have this leopard color in a size 7.
We don’t know about you all, but we are so excited for fall! We love summer, but there is something about fall that is so fun and warming! We wanted to share some fun fall decor for you all, in case you are looking around for some! We also have a good Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe here!
Happy Thursday! We are off to Mexico today for a fun trip, so be sure to check out our stories and Instagram accounts to follow along! We have been getting SOOOO many questions about the celery juice we have been drinking every morning. We wanted to talk all about that in this post to cover all of that, but before we get into that, we wanted to talk about this easy, transitional fall look with you all! When we are heading into fall, we are all about pairing some jeans with some booties and an easy wrap or sweater! All of the accessories we have here are from Sole Society, and we seriously LOVE their stuff. It is all so affordable and so pulled together. This exact wrap sold out, but we did find this one that is really cute! We paired it with this grey bag (great for all year, especially fall!) and these black booties that are ahhhmazing. Love these so much that we got them in the neutral color, too. We went for some dark jeans and a black tee with this, but you could also do a skirt or dress underneath!
Now, alllll about the celery juice. In case you missed our podcast episode on this, you can listen here. We started following The Medical Medium about a month ago, and have been all about his protocol ever since. We honestly never thought we would be drinking juices, let alone, be eating mostly plant-based, but we can honestly say it has been the best thing we have done recently! We shared about our health struggles in this post, but basically we have tried everything else to feel better, and this is the only thing that we have seen benefits from. So, you are probably wondering, “Why the celery juice?” The Medical Medium talks all about it here, but basically it has a TON of benefits including lowering blood pressure, prevents chronic diseases, has anti-inflammatory properties, lowers cholesterol, prevents digestive disorders, and balances blood sugar, just to name a few! The benefits are endless. It sounds too good to be true, but we honestly haven’t felt this much energy in a long time. We are definitely not 100%, but we are feeling better and feel like we are on the mend.
It is best to drink the celery juice alone (we drink it right after we drink some lemon water upon waking). We do not combine it with any other vegetables, just the PLAIN celery. We are going to answer some common questions we have gotten below:
HOW DO YOU MAKE IT?
We use this juicer and use one head of celery to make ONE serving of celery juice. So, for both of us, we use two heads of celery. All you have to do is rinse off the celery, put it in your juicer, and that’s it! If you do use a vitamix, you will have to strain out the pulp.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DRINK IT?
It is best to drink on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning before eating! If not, you can drink it 15-30 minutes before eating.CAN YOU MAKE IT AHEAD OF TIME?
According to our research, it is best to make it fresh the day of, but if you have to, you can make it 24 hours ahead of time, and store it in a sealed jar in the fridge.
IS THE TASTE BAD?
We honestly like it now, but it is a little bitter. You get used to it, and knowing it is so good for you, helps a lot! It tastes better than eating straight celery. CAN YOU JUST EAT THE CELERY?
`According to our research, to get the maximum benefits, you have to remove the pulp. You will not be able to consume enough of the celery by eating it to get the benefits.
It is now that awkward time between summer and fall when you want to start wearing some fall pieces, but still have to wear some lighter pieces in these warmer temps. We have you covered!
#1 are great booties. They can be worn with dresses, leggings, or jeans!
#2 is a great block heel and goes with everything!
#3 is a great slip on shoe that you can wear with jeans and leggings!
We got #4 booties during the Anniversary Sale last year and LOVE them. This pair is the newer version.
A basic cardigan is a great piece to have to throw over and we love #5.#9 and #10 are both great jacket options, too!
As far as a basic tee, we love #6 and have it in several colors.
You all may have noticed we have been spending a lot of time in Rockwall, Texas. Our parents actually moved from El Paso, Texas to Rockwall a couple of months ago, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled! Instead of being a 10-hour drive away, they are now only 45 minutes away, which is a total game changer! We are at their place all of the time, and honestly, we act like we are moving in sometimes, haha. We wanted to share some of our favorite things about Rockwall, and why we love having our parents so close to us. Before we get into that, we wanted to share this lightly layered fall look. This scarf is a great neutral color that can be worn with lighter jackets like this utility jacket, or thicker sweaters. We paired it with these adorable embroidered mules that add such a fun pop to any outfit. They also come in leopard! The brown saddlebag is also a great piece for fall because it matches everything and can be worn with black, too!We love this utility jacket because you can layer it over a white tank, like we did, or with thicker sweaters underneath! It looks great with dresses, shorts, leggings, and jeans!
If y’all haven’t been to Rockwall before, and you live close to DFW, you all have to check it out! There is something so peaceful about it, and just slower-paced. They have a huge lake right as you enter the city called Lake Ray Hubbard, and it is so gorgeous! We haven’t had a chance to go on it yet, but you can rent kayaks, boats, paddle boards, and jet skis. They also have several restaurants on the lake, too!
Of course, we have found some great spots to grab a bite that we are obsessed with. There are three places that we really like, and seem to go to on a frequent basis, haha.
Zanata : their pizza and salmon is SO good. Literally could eat here on a daily basis!
Pier 101 : they have really good steamed crab and crawfish or just fish with veggies and quinoa!
The Book Club Cafe : great for breakfast or coffee. They also have really good burgers!
Fireside Chicken and Tacos : y’all know we love roasted chicken, and this place is delicious and super easy! You can also get tacos and other stuff, too!
Chills360: this ice cream place has rolled ice cream that is SO freaking bomb.
Fall is here, and normally we are not major fans of fall, but this year, we are actually kind of excited about it! We wanted to share some of our favorite fall activities that we are hoping we get to do this year. Before we get into some of the activities we are looking forward to, we wanted to share an easy transitional outfit for you all that live in Texas or California, where it will be pretty warm for the next couple of months. We love pairing some denim shorts with a basic tee and a fun bootie or mule, like these leopard ones. They look super cute with jeans, too! We paired them with this grey cross-body bag and this plaid scarf that you could throw on when it gets chillier out!We love mixing plaid and leopard together. It just works so well together! So, now for our favorite fall activities!
Apple Picking: we have only done this when we were younger, but we haven’t been able to find a spot near us in Dallas. If y’all know of any, let us know!
Pumpkin Patch: can’t wait to go and pick out a pumpkin, and take pictures there, of course!
Drive-In Movie: never done this before, but it looks SO fun! And, you can bring your own snacks and lay down, win-win!
Carving Pumpkins: totally a must! We haven’t done this since we were in college, but this is so fun to do!
Bake A Fall Dessert: we are totally obsessed with anything pumpkin or apple-filled, so we can’t wait to bake a ton! See some fall-recipe ideas here.
Grab Food/Drinks On A Patio: when it is finally nice out in Texas, we love grabbing some food or drinks on a patio. We shared our favorite patios in Dallas in this post.
Attend A Football Game: we are both major football fans. We could easily watch football all weekend-long and have ESPN on all of the time. We love going to a college game, or even NFL. We are UT alumni, so we grew up going to football games! See our game day outfit ideas in this post.
Make S’mores: who doesn’t love s’mores, and making them is even more fun!
Fall Hike: we don’t really get changing leaves in Texas, but it still so peaceful to go on a short hike outside when the weather is this nice. We shared our favorite places to walk in Dallas in this post.
