Happy Wellness Wednesday! After SO much positive feedback of what Alexis ate in stories last week, we decided to create a plant-based meal plan for you all to follow.
We included breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and some snack options. For the first day (Monday), we included what we typically eat, and then for the other days, we shared some recipes we are planning on making, or some that we love making!
We shared some of what we eat in this post on a regular basis and our supplement routine in this post!
See below the plan for a list of ALL recipes referenced! **Don’t forget to pink this plan for later **
As far as shorts go, #17 is our absolute go-to and we have them in size 4 in several colors. Don’t pass on these! We wear them to workout, and just every day.
Happy Monday! Jumping on that leopard trend with this adorable off shoulder dress from Express from the new Rocky Barnes collection, which is to die for! This leopard one is selling out super quick, so make sure you get it before it does. It does also come in a yellow shade and a really cute lavender color. We have size xs in it.
If you don’t know how to style leopard, or just feel kind of uneasy about wearing it, we wanted to share some tips with you to make it a little easier.
#1: KEEP SHOES NEUTRAL:
We kept this look pretty neutral, without too many trends, and paired this dress with some neutral block heeled sandals. If you wear too many colors or trends, it becomes way too much!
#2: ADD A POP OF COLOR:
If you do want to add some color, you could definitely add a bright shoe or bright bag, just limit it to one color.
#3: WEAR IT AS AN ACCESSORY:
You could also wear just jeans or a dress, etc, and wear leopard as an accessory like a bag, pair of sandals, a watch band, headband, or something like that!
#4: PAIR WITH DENIM:
You can wear leopard with so much, but one of our favorites is with some denim. Pair it with some jeans, some shorts, or a denim jacket.
#5: LIMIT IT TO ONE PIECE:
We don’t recommend over-doing it with the prints. Keep the leopard print to a minimum, and only wear one piece. Whether it is a dress, top, or skirt, limit it 😉
We paired the dress with some neutral block sandals and some fringe statement earrings. We love that Express features new lines like this line from Rocky Barnes that has THE cutest pieces. If leopard isn’t your thing (which we think you should totally try out!), this pink romper is adorable and we love this floral romper.
**PS- You can save $25 off your order of $100 or more in store or online with code 8144.
We are allllll about finding look-for-less options for ourselves and for you all! We had a few requests to share some affordable, every day bags and shoes for spring and summer, so we thought we would share some “save” options for you, and then share some splurge-worthy options as well!
SPLURGE WORTHY PIECES:
Some of the splurge pieces we think are 100% worth it are the Tory Burch Miller Sandals (we have these in 3 colors!!) and they last for years. We think these fit true-to-size. We usually get a size 7 and are a size 6.5-7 normally.
We did find this pair that are almost identical and only $35!
Our other splurge-worthy purchase is this Gucci Soho Disco Bag. We wear ours pretty much every day. The tan color matches everything in your closet, and it actually holds more than you’d think!
If you want this style bag, but don’t want to spend that much, we found this option for only $30!

Happy Friday and weekend! We are so excited to share today’s post with you all for several reasons! One, this maxi dress from White House Black Market actually fits the perfect length (YAY!), AND, we are sharing some tips on eating healthier on a budget!
Before we get into the tips, we wanted to talk about this great spring/summer look! This maxi dress we are so pumped about because it comes in petite sizing, so it fits us PERFECTLY! We are wearing size xxs petite in this one for reference.
We love the print for this time of year because it has a tropical/aztec vibe, and a great slit on the sides, so it is revealing enough, but also conservative enough for any age!
This print is so flattering, and really elongates the body! Yes to all of that!!
Since we got such a GREAT response to our stories of what we ate on Wednesday, we wanted to share some tips on how you can live healthier on a budget, even if it is just a few things you change up! We know eating healthier can be overwhelming (and expensive), but it doesn’t have to be!
BUY FRESH FRUITS AND VEGGIES WHOLE VS PRECUT:
Seems annoying to not have it pre-cut or prepped, but it saves money! If you are short on time, it may be easier, though.
We love having TONS of fruits and veggies on hand to snack on and on-the-go.
WHOLE GRAINS AND BEANS ARE A GREAT BUY:
Whole grains, like brown rice and oats, are less expensive per serving than most processed cereals (and much healthier!). You can use oats for so many things like cereal, homemade granola, baking, and more!
BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH:
When we worked our corporate jobs, we always would bring our own lunch with us. Not only did we save money, but we knew exactly what was in our food!
CHECK FOR COUPONS/DEALS:
You don’t have to be a coupon clipper, but there are great sites and apps that you can use to track deals on your favorite groceries. Also stores like Thrive Market, Lucky Vitamin, Amazon, and Iherb are great places to order stuff online!
BUY FROZEN VEGGIES/FRUITS OR FREEZE YOUR OWN:
Usually buying frozen foods can be more expensive, but if you’re looking for something that usually goes to waste in your house, or expires quickly, this is a great option! You can also buy the foods fresh, and then freeze them on your own!
BUY GENERIC BRAND:
We do this all of the time! As long as the ingredients are the same, who needs name brand?!
STOCK UP ON SALE:
Another great way to save! If your favorite foods or supplements go on sale, buy a bunch and store for later!
BUY IN BULK:
We are Sam’s Club and Costco queens! We buy almost all of our groceries there each week and they actually have a ton of organic options!
MAKE YOUR OWN DRESSINGS AND SAUCES:
Again, this is about convenience, so if you don’t want to make time to make your own, that is totally fine. If you do have time, or want to, making your own dressings and sauces saves so much money, and you know what is actually going into it!
ORGANIZE YOUR FOOD AND PANTRY SO YOU DON’T WASTE ANYTHING:
We love being organized, and more important than it looking “nice”, you can actually see what you have, and what you don’t, so you don’t waste money on stuff you already have in your kitchen, or risk it going bad!
COOK AT HOME AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE:
Of course, when you cook at home, you save SO much money! You don’t have to be a gourmet chef and whip up crazy meals. Even if it is just a salad, or something easy, you’re saving so much. Also, you can control your portions and what is going in your dishes.
Meal prepping is a great way to prep for the week, too!
DON’T SHOP WHEN HUNGRY:
We have all done this before! Shopping while you’re hungry can lead to impulsive buying, and wanting everything in the store! If you’re hungry, have a snack before you head out.
In case you missed our last episode of An Extra Dose, you can listen to that here!
A little about this episode:
On this episode of An Extra Dose Podcast, Samantha and Alexis are giving an update on how they are switching up their workouts with pilates and at-home workouts. The girls also talk about how the have changed up their phone routine. On the beauty and self-care topic, the twins are sharing all about the spray tan process, and their tips for maintaining your tan. In spirit of Mother’s Day coming up, the Belbel sisters are talking about their favorite memories with their mom and some good gift ideas for your mom, sister, aunt, or any mom in your life!
We are shoe queens– of course we get it from our Mom 😉 We have gotten some shoes recently that we have fallen in love with, so we wanted to share them with you! These are ALL so comfortable, so they’re great for traveling and they match pretty much anything in your closet!
This pair of wedges fits true-to-size, and is seriously one of the most comfy wedges we have worn. We have been wearing them with everything, and they are a great height. We have on the cognac color in a size 6.5.
This block heel is the perfect day to night shoe. You can dress it up for events and basic dresses, or dress it down with some jeans or a romper! We have these in the “oatmeal suede” color in a size 6.5.
This leopard pair is another great, comfy pair. You all know we love leopard print and this pair goes with everything. We have been wearing them with jeans, shorts, and dresses. We have a size 6.5 in these and they also come in a lot of other colors.
We found all of these great neutral shoes at Nordstrom. If we are shopping for anything, especially shoes, that is our spot! They have curbside in-store pickup, which we use more than we’d like to admit 😉 You can just order all your stuff right from your phone, and then pick up in your pajamas! Wayyyy too easy!
