We have had lots of requests to do a post on styling an Apple watch, so we rounded up some of our favorite bands, including this leopard one that we wear every single day!
What we love about our Apple watch is that you can dress it up or down, and you can switch it out with so many different bands to change the look of it!
SO excited for today’s post because we are sharing a review of all of our spring shoes we have tried recently! We know there are SO many shoes out there, so we wanted to give you all an honest review of each pair and why we like them (or don’t!)
You all know we love anything leopard. Of course, these slides are no different! These have a bit of a wedge heel, but nothing too high, of course. We like that they have a neutral strap as well, so they’re not too much animal print if you don’t want to go overboard.
We went with a size 6.5, and they run true to size. They do run a little wide, so if you have narrow feet, like us, you may want to keep that in mind!
This slide sandal is a lot going on, we know! BUT, we are totally in love with these. They look SO cute on, and we think if you go for the neutral pair (we are wearing the cognac), or the black, it isn’t too flashy!
We went with a size 7 in these, and would recommend sizing up a half size in these!
Here is another double strap slide sandal for you all! We had been wanting this pair for a long time now, and love the braided strap on this one. These will go with everything in your closet! These also run true to size (we have a size 6.5). The braided strap does run a little narrow!
We had actually tried this pair on in the store a while back, and loved them so much we had to get a pair! Sometimes, we don’t really like the way mules look on, but this pair is not only comfortable, but it has a pointed toe, so it will elongate your legs, which is always a plus!
Also, these come in three other colors, including white and black. These run true to size. We have a size 7.
This slide sandal came out a couple years ago, and if you had been wanting the Hermes pair, this one is a great look-for-less option! These are under $100, padded and comfy for walking a lot, and can be dressed up or down! We love wearing them with some shorts, or even a swimsuit, but then you can also dress them up with jeans or a cute dress!
We got this pair in a size 7, and run true to size. They also come in solid colors like a natural patent and a black patent color.
One of us wore these slides the other day, and got a TON of compliments on them! They are the perfect amount of studs, without being too much or flashy. We are wearing the “bisque leather” color in a size 6.5 and they run true to size. These also come in black!
We were so excited about this pair, but they run EXTREMELY narrow. We have narrow feet, and these were hard to get on, so we recommend sizing up on these at least a half size, or maybe even a full size! They are really cute sandals, though.
We are wearing they grey color in a size 6.5! These are not super padded, so they are great for every day, but not for long walks.
As y’all can tell, we love anything studded, so of course we had to have these sandals! They are more of a thong sandal, so they stay on your feet better than the typical slide sandal. We are wearing a size 6.5 in the cream color, and they run true to size.
These are not super padded, so they are comfortable, but don’t have a ton of padding!
We were kind of skeptical of these wedges because when they are not on, we didn’t especially like they way they looked when they are not being worn, BUT, we were pleasantly surprised! First off, these are SO comfortable– like walking on a cloud. These would be great shoes to take on a trip where you’ll be walking a lot!
They also come in other colors like black, olive green, a bright coral color, and more! We got a size 6.5 in them and they run true to size.
What is also great is that they are elastic, so they form to your feet and will stretch out so they’re good for narrow or wide feet.
If you’re needing a basic, neutral heel, this is your pair! They are flattering on any foot, AND, you can wear the with any kind of outfit, and they always look good. When in doubt, go with the platform, block heel! We wear this pair with jeans, dresses, rompers, and jumpsuits. You can also wear these to work!
We have on the “blush leather” color, and they also come in a ton of other colors like black, too. For these, we went with a size 7, and they fit true to size.
Y’all have probably seen these wedges a lot of times, but we finally gave these a try, and HIGHLY recommend. They are $80, so a great price point, and this pair is actually comfortable, unlike some other espadrille wedges we have tried out. This is the “tan leather” color, and they also come in black, white, snakeskin, and other colors.
We got a size 7 in these, but found that the straps were a little loose on use because our feet are so narrow.
We found all of these spring sandals at Nordstrom. When we are shopping for shoes, or anything, really, they are our go-to! We use the in-store pickup option all of the time because it is so dang convenient ;). If you haven’t used it yet, we HIGHLY recommend it!
It’s officially beach season, and we couldn’t be MORE excited! We are true beach lovers, and try to go to the beach as often as we can because it is truly our happy place! We feel so relaxed and at-ease there. We were just in Amelia Island with our family, and are in Mexico as we speak.
We just got these super cute suits from Lolë (which, if you all remember the light pink and black vegan insulated jackets we wore ALLLL winter, and even into spring, it is the same great brand!). Not only do we love the ones we picked out, and all of the cute styles, but they are also UPF 50+ which means that the fabric only allows 1/50th of the sun’s UV radiation to reach the skin! The higher the UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), the greater the protection. How cool is that?!
What is even cooler than that is that their swim fabric is sunscreen and oil resistant and made from recycled fishing nets and post-consumer plastic from the ocean. We didn’t even know it, but the sea turtles are actually affected by abandoned fishing nets, so the fabric is helping the environment, too!
April is Earth Month, and in case you all haven’t seen the trends of 2019, it is truly the year of sustainable fashion, which you all know we are all about! So, we couldn’t be more excited to support a brand that really embodies that.
Funny story about these pictures is that we ended up having to change swimsuits with a towel wrapped around us on this public beach. It was quite the sight to see, haha! We are sure the guests at the resort got quite the laugh watching it all go down.
Now, about this cute and bright bikini set! This white mesh top is the Abel top and also comes in a few other colors like black and blue. We are wearing size S in this one for reference.
It is supportive and has a racerback, so no crazy tan lines!
We paired it with these Caribbean Renew Bikini Bottoms in this gorgeous blue color. We love the sporty fit of these, and that they are a mid-rise, so they hit the sweet spot. We are wearing size xs in these bottoms for reference.
If you like more of a traditional triangle top, this pink one is for you! This Basilian Top comes in three other colors, but we truly love this hot pink shade. We went with a size M in this one for reference! This one has adjustable straps and removable pads as well.
Underneath, we are wearing the Rio Reversible Bottoms in a size xs, and just as you predicted from the name, they are reversible, so you get two bottoms in one!
We also wore some other great pieces from Lolë on our trip to Florida. All of these are great for traveling and hanging out!
These tanks are both great colors, AND they are quick-drying, have a 4-way stretch, and both use a super cool fabric treatment called Protx2™ which provides medical grade antimicrobial effective protection.
We both traveled in these comfy Assent tops (Samantha is wearing the sleeveless version in black, and Alexis is wearing the short sleeve version in the pink salt heather colorway.
Both of these tops are made with 76% Lenzing Modal®, which is a fabric that is made from sustainably forested Austrian beech trees, and it is hypoallergenic!
Don’t forget to see all of their other styled pieces on their Instagram and follow along to see their new arrivals and different ways to style their cute pieces!
We love our hair heating tools, but sometimes they don’t love our hair as much! Even since we were younger, we always used to flat iron our hair or curl it pretty much daily. Of course, over time, it can damage your hair, especially at the ends, where it is most noticeable! We wanted to share some tips to help with repairing damaged hair that we have implemented over the years.
One of the most important tips is to use a good, hydrating shampoo and conditioner. We know that sounds SO obvious, but it really is key! We always go for a moisturizing and nourishing one.
We love this line from Hair Food (y’all may remember us sharing it a couple months ago in this post!). All of their lines smell amazing, but this one is great for dry, damaged hair, like most of us experience!
This Nourishing Collection line from Hair Food is made with coconut milk and chia spice, so it leaves your hair feeling hydrated and shiny! It also helps protect it from future damage, which is key! Not only that, both their shampoo and conditioner are free of parabens, sulfates, and dyes. We love that they are made with real, natural ingredients!
Besides using a good, nourishing shampoo and conditioner, we always like to do a deep conditioning hair mask. This gives your hair some good, intense hydration TLC (and some time for you to zen out while it sits on your hair!)
We love this coconut one from Hair Food because it is also free of parabens, sulfates, and dyes! It is also safe to use on color-treated hair, like ours! Trust us, your hair will feel so smooth and silky!
Another tip we to try to do is going for a heatless hairstyle at least once a week like wearing a braid, cute hat, or a top bun!
You all may know that we have balayage for our hair color, so that helps with not damaging our hair as much with color! We used to have highlights back in the day, and with that, you have to retouch the roots so often that it can cause damage!
We also try to use a good heat protection on our hair prior to styling and also get regular haircuts to trim our ends, and keep them looking fresh!
One more tip is to try and use a wide-tooth comb to brush your hair, especially when it is wet, to prevent breakage and damage.
You can find this Hair Food line at Kroger! We also wanted to let you know that if you buy $15 of select beauty products, you get $5 back! If you want to give this Hair Food line a try, you can get both the shampoo and conditioner for just $11!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hair Food. The opinions and text are all mine.
Have you all jumped on the paper bag short trend? We have and we LOVE it! What is so great about this trend is that anyone can wear them, whether you’re short, tall, or somewhere in between!
We love this denim pair from Express because you can wear them with so much, and they match pretty much anything! This pair is actually buy one, get one half off, so you can get it these in a few other colors or prints. We went with a size 00 in these, and they fit true-to-size!
To style them, we went with one of our staple silk camis from Express. We have this one in at least four other colors because you can truly wear it with everything! We wear ours all year with cardigans or jackets over it, and then into spring and summer, we like to go for the brighter colors and pair it with some denim, like we did here!
For reference, we are wearing size S in the “pacific coral” color! We love this color for spring and summer. It is one of those shades that brings out a tan, and looks great on any skin tone!
One of our top tips for styling these paper bag shorts are to wear it with a top that is tucked, or slightly tucked into the shorts. You want to show of the tie-waist, so don’t wear anything too baggy that would cover that up!
This spring look is perfect for any occasions you have coming up! We brought some paper bag shorts with us on our trip to Mexico, and we love how you can dress them up for Easter or any other celebration!
Express also has paper bag pants and other cute pieces! We rounded up some of our favorites below:
Happy Tuesday! We are in beautiful Riviera Nayarait, and actually packed this exact look with us for our trip. This striped dress is perfect for spring and summer and so cute on with some sandals like these suede platform cutout ones from Sole Society. They come in a few other colors (we are wearing “Sandy Beach”). They are the perfect height for shorts, or shorter dresses!
We paired the dress and sandals with this adorable round woven bag! It actually stores a good amount, and it can be worn on your shoulder or cross-body! Perfect bag for spring and summer travels coming up.
Speaking of accessories, this pair of sunglasses come in two other colors (we have on the “ivory tortoise”)! They are only $30, so they are a steal!
We love getting our accessories for our spring travels and occasions at Sole Society because they are affordable, and also wear so well! A lot of their pieces are great neutrals, so you know you can get good use out of them!
Another important accessory for spring and summer is a bright, white smile! We get asked SO much what we use to keep our teeth so white, so we thought we would share our tips with you all.
First things first, you have to brush your teeth well, so you are starting with a good canvas. If your teeth are dirty to begin with you, you wont be able to achieve good results. We recommend using a good electric toothbrush that will time your actual brushing. If it wasn’t timed, we probably wouldn’t brush our teeth for as long as we should!
Another important thing is to use a good whitening toothpaste when brushing! We use this one, but any whitening toothpaste should be good!
Any time we are drinking hot teas, or anything besides water, really, we try and drink through a straw to prevent staining! We drink out of these glass straws.
When we do whiten our teeth, we use this whitening gel and put it in clear trays we had made at our dentist’s office!
Snacking on celery or strawberries after a meal helps to prevent staining! We love eating fruits, and those help a lot to brighten your smile, especially after stuff like wine or other staining foods!
We have heard that oil pulling can be effective at removing toxins and bacteria from your mouth, but we haven’t personally tried it!
We have also heard that brushing your teeth with baking soda can help a lot, too!
