We are SO excited to share today’s post with you all! We are FINALLY sharing our home office tour with you. The main highlight of this room is this gorgeous area rug from Orian Rugs.
We had been wanting to redecorate and organize our office for quite some time, and if we are being honest, we spend wayyyy more time typing away on our laptops in the kitchen than we do in our home office, BUT, hopefully now that it is looking put together, we will be more inspired to work in there!
First things first: this rug is lighter colored, but if you do happen to spill something on it, it cleans up very easily! We vacuum ours a lot to prevent any stains from forming.
This rug is from The Boucle Collection and it is actually indoor and outdoor, stain and fade resistant, and non-shedding, so you can use it in so many areas in your home!
All of their rugs are made in the USA, and what is even cooler is that their company has eliminated all waste, and is a zero landfill manufacturing facility, which is SO impressive!
We loved this area rug so much that we actually ended up also getting the runner size for our kitchen and LOVE how cozy it makes our kitchen feel (see the last photo in this post!)
Now, more about the office! We actually got these desks from Ikea a couple years ago, but we found some similar white desk options for you all below:
We got this shelving unit to decorate our office with bags and other accessories! You could also put books or other stuff on the shelves.
Happy Wednesday! For today’s wellness Wednesday post, we wanted to share a lot of the meals we ate in Amelia Island, Florida this past week. We know vacation is where people get overwhelmed about making healthy choices, so after living this healthier lifestyle for over six years, it has become a lot easier for us!
That doesn’t mean we don’t eat other foods that aren’t as healthy, but a lot of you all want to see what we eat in a day, and meal ideas, especially when we are eating out! We did a post a few months ago about what we eat here.
PS- this isn’t everything we ate on the entire trip, just some of the meals!
BREAKFAST:
For breakfast, you all know that we love our fresh fruit! Each morning, we would have 2-3 BIG bowls of fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, grapes, orange, grapefruit, watermelon, and pineapple. We would also have a banana and a red apple!
If you can find some cinnamon, it is really yummy sprinkled on top (and it is so good for you!)
LUNCH:
It is definitely more challenging to travel AND eat plant-based on-the-go. We use Yelp a lot to find spots, and highly recommend it! We like to look for Mediterranean spots because we love the food and that it is made with more natural ingredients! We found a spot called Sabbia that had a great salad and hummus!
We asked for the hummus to be served with cucumbers instead of the pita! The hummus was delicious!
For the salads, we got them with the dressing on the side and left the cheese off!
Another day for lunch, we went to Salt Life, which had a great outdoor patio and really good food! Tons of seafood, if that is more your speed!
We got the guacamole to start, and asked for carrots and celery instead of the chips.
For our meals, we got the Asian Salmon Salad (without the salmon, haha) and dressing on the side!
And, a side of grilled vegetables.
Another day, we were still hungry after lunch (typical), so we went to the local grocery store and made a big salad from their salad bar!
We got spring mix, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, beets, radishes, and tomatoes.
DINNER:
For dinner, we ventured out to a few spots. One of them was a Thai place, Ahan Thai Kitchen, that ended up being really good! We got the vegetable plate, just steamed (no sauce) with white rice and asked for the chili sauce so we could put it on for some spice!
We also ordered a salad to start!
Another place we tried was called Pepper’s. It is a Mexican spot that ended up being pretty good.
We started with a salad (no dressing) and asked for a side of salsa to use as dressing.
For our entrees, we got the veggie fajitas and asked for them to be prepared with olive oil (no margarine or butter).
SNACKS:
We are ALWAYS snacking. Throughout the day, we eat a TON of fruits like apples, grapes, and oranges. We also bought some veggies like carrots to snack on in the room when we got hungry. Like we said earlier, we ate way more than this photographed, this is just to give you an idea:)
We hope this was helpful! If you all do not eat plant based, we recommend eating things like fresh seafood, chicken, and lots of vegetables and fruits! Don’t forget about dessert!;)
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a nice weekend! We just got back from a little family trip to Florida with our parents. Our dad had a conference in Amelia Island, so we all tagged along. We attempted to take a little bit of time off of work since the next few weeks are going to be pretty crazy, but you all know how that goes;) We did take some time off of our phones throughout the day, but it is hard to totally unplug.
Anyways! We shared this Amazon post over the weekend and got SO much positive feedback, so we will definitely be doing another one soon! We shared this rockstud slide sandal we had ordered off of prime and we loved it so much that we decided to do an entire post on affordable rockstud shoes!
A lot of these we own, or have tried on, so we hope you all love it:)
Some of our favorites:
#1 is a great wedge option and super comfy! Comes in several color options, too!
#2 is a really cute sandal to pair with jeans or dresses and affordable!
#4 we got a few years back and LOVE them still. VERY comfortable.
#11 we own and love to wear all year! Also a great work shoe option.
#12 are the cutest mules to wear all year. They go with everything, too! The pointed toe is really flattering as well.
#18 and #19 are cute slide sandals that you can throw on with some shorts or a comfy dress. Both very comfy for walking a lot!
#25 we have in black and blush and wear them ALL of the time! They are a lot more comfortable than you’d think!
#26 is the pair we just got on prime last week that we love! So comfy and padded, too!
Happy Friday! We literally place an order on AmazonPrime daily, it is kindof a problem 😉 They just have so many good things, and they are really useful stuff! Whether it is organizing, supplements, or even clothes, it is dangerous!
We wanted to share some stuff we have ordered recently from them and have been LOVING! We love seeing what people order on there, so tell us what you’ve been ordering from them, or what you love!
We will highlight some of our favorites for you now! In case you missed this previous post on Amazon, you can check that out here! We also get a lot of our supplements from there!
We ordered this pill case before our trip, and it has been a life changer! Who knew that this could make us so happy, haha. It organizes all your supplements or pills, without having bulky bottles to pack!
We have been trying to not use plastic bags, or anything plastic in general, so we love using these silicon bags that have a closure to carry cut up fruits and veggies, or even store in the fridge. You can also freeze them and put them in the dishwasher.
When we shared this in stories, a lot of you asked about it! This is what we use to conceal our greys in between colorings! It doesn’t rub off a lot, and it works great.
Happy Thursday! We have had SO many requests to do an updated spring occasion dress post for showers, weddings, graduations, etc. We wanted to share dresses that were under $200, and could be worn for a ton of other occasions as well!
We found a ton of pink options for you all! With blush or shades of pink, you can never go wrong! This floral lace option #2 comes in a bunch of great colors. We also love the neckline on #5 because it is super flattering!
#9 comes in a few colors and is a great shorter length, without being too short! If you love jumpsuits, #12 and #13 are both great options that can be dressed up or down.
