We get SO many questions about Shein: what the quality is, which items we like from there, etc. We have done a post before on some of our favorite Shein pieces here and here and a podcast on it here. We are sharing some of our favorite pieces from them lately below:
**To shop all of these outfits, simply click each item below each photo to shop!**
In case you missed these common questions in our other blog post, we are sharing the again below–
The quality is honestly really good. It depends piece to piece, but we only share the pieces we like from them. We would compare the quality to stores like h&m, Forever21, etc. They have some really cute, trendy pieces! It is not going to be designer quality, but if you take care of the pieces, they serve their purpose! It is not going to be super high quality because of the price, but it is good for what you’re paying for!
Is it legit?
Yes! The prices seem so low, so we know it seems kind of “scammy”, but it isn’t! We have gotten a ton of pieces from there, just know you’re paying for $20 quality pieces ?
How long does it take to get orders?
Since they’re based out of China, they do take a while to get to you. On average, we would say 1-2 weeks!
How is the sizing?
This sizing usually depends item to item, but we would say on average, they run small (especially the swimsuits). The camis also run little small, too. We are about 100-105lbs and 5’1″, and we usually order size xs/s.
Do you have any tips?
Yes! Here are some of our tips:
-Look at the reviews
-Check out other people wearing the outfits (where the reviews are listed)
-We haven’t ordered jeans, but have tried the tops, swimsuits, sweaters, shorts, and pajamas.
Do you have any discount codes?
Yes we do! Get 15% off your order with ‘adoubledose15’.
We have been getting so many questions about our fitness routine lately, so in case you want to check out any of those posts, you can see those here. Since a lot of y’all are traveling, or possibly travel for work a lot, we wanted to share our workout routine for when we are traveling or on vacation. Of course, when you’re on a trip, or traveling for work, you want to stay on track, but still enjoy your time wherever you are, and more importantly, get enough sleep! When we are on vacation, or just out of town for work, we usually like to workout at least once if we are gone for the weekend, depending on where we are. If we are going for more than that, we will try and workout for two or three days. The important thing to us, is to stay on a schedule on stay regimented. It doesn’t mean we kill ourselves or put a ton of stress on ourselves to get in a super long workout, but we just get something in. It could be going on a long walk outside or on the beach, doing yoga, or just lifting some weights for 10-15 minutes! Depending on where we are, for cardio, we will either walk on the beach or outdoors, go swimming in the pool/beach or snorkel, go on a bike ride (indoors or outdoors), hiking, tennis, or go shopping (which can make for a lot of steps!).
Usually, most hotels have decent gyms with a few dumbbells, or something you can use to get some weight bearing exercises in! If they don’t have anything, you can always bring resistance bands with you and do something quick in your hotel room!Of course, as we mentioned, it is important to take days off and let your body rest. When we were in Europe a while back, we we worked out maybe two or three times total in the actual hotel gyms, and just walked SO much throughout the trip. Sometimes, that is just the best thing–killing two birds with one stone! There’s also so many activities you can do like kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, etc if you’re somewhere that has those options that are a great workout! And, about this outfit, which we have gotten SO many questions about! These shorts are SO comfy and amazing for workouts or running. We have size xs in them for reference! This grey tank is SO comfy and soft. We also have that one in xs, as well as the pink bra underneath!
Happy Friday! We hope you all are having a great week, and have some fun things planned for this weekend! We wanted to share this super fun summer casual look and some back school tips for college! We know it is time to go back to school, so we wanted to share some of the things we learned over the years, and wish we knew! Before we get into those tips, we wanted to share more about this outfit! These embroidered shorts are a must. They are SO comfy, but still look put together, so they are perfect for school! We paired them with a basic white tank and this fun clutch! We wore these wedges with them, but you could also do some flat sandals! And, now for our tips on back to school! In case you missed our post last weekend on back to school musts, you can check that out here!
GOING TO CLASS:
We are super Type A, so before school started, we walked around the campus to figure out where our classes where, since UT is so big! It helped us not be so nervous about it on the first day, and avoid being late or missing your class! Some of those buildings are hard to find.
We are not major fans of tiny classes, just because we don’t like to participate as much, but we think smaller classes can be helpful when you don’t know the material that well, and can get more hands-on help!
WHAT TO WEAR:
We are all about the comfy wear. Yes, we know most college girls like to wear their big t-shirts and shorts to class, and we can’t blame them. We have all done it, haha! We would say something comfy, but put together is the way to go, unless you just want to wear your big t-shirt, then that is fine, too! Something like some denim shorts, like these, or some kind of drawstring short and a basic tee and flat sandals is easy! When it gets cooler out, you could do a some leggings or jeans and a long-sleeve tee or thick sweater and some slip ons or booties! HOW TO STAY FOCUSED:
Again, we are super Type A, so we were always hyper focused on school and doing well. We do think that there is a balance, though! You are in college, so you definitely want to have fun, but you also want to have a degree and good job at the end of your college experience. We were involved in several organizations while in school, and think it is a great way to meet people and form your core group of friends. Once we met our friends and felt settled in that sense, it was much easier for us to balance it all. In the beginning, it is a hard balance to find. You want to go to all of these events and everything is SO new, but remember, you still are there to go to school.
We think it important to go to those events, but also set time aside during the week, or in between classes to focus on school and studying. You can also forms study groups with some of your friends, that way you can kill two birds with one stone!
It also helps to talk to other people about this, whether it is your friends, or your family. They are probably going through the same thing, or have been through it!HOW TO DESTRESS:
This is a tricky topic because it is something we both struggle with! There are a few things we recommend that we still use today:
Go to a yoga class or workout
Take a walk outside
Call a family member or friend
Take yourself out to dinner or shopping
Grab a coffee or tea and sit outside with no distractions
The day is FINALLY here! We are sharing ALLLL about our eyebrows that we get asked about all of the time! You all may have remembered that we got microblading a couple years ago at Enlighten MD, but now, they are offering a new technique: Permanent Eyebrow Cosmetics! We will be sharing all the must-knows about them, but before we get into that, we wanted to talk about how much we LOVE the results! We never have to pencil in our brows and they always look incredible. We get asked at least once a day where we got them done, or how great our brows look, so that is a good sign, right?!
We seriously cannot recommend it enough! Hopefully all of this information helps, and don’t forget to check out the video at the bottom of the post!
WHAT IS PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent Cosmetics is a form of cosmetic tattoo. Pigment is applied to desired areas, enhancing your natural beauty. We use a permanent makeup machine to apply color and there are several options to achieve gorgeous and symmetrical eyebrows, and we also offer permanent makeup solutions for: eyeliner, lash enhancement, and lipstick.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF EYEBROW SOLUTIONS?
Micro-Feathering: Small strokes are placed where your natural brow hair is thinning. This is done on someone who has full brows, but needs filling in on small areas (what we got!)
Powder Brow: A shadow of color is applied to the backdrop of the brow. This is a shading technique.
Hair Stroke: An eyebrow is created where there is little to no hair, giving you a natural hair-like look. This technique is done throughout the brow to create fullness.
BEFORE AND AFTER BROWS:
DOES IT HURT?
It does not hurt in our options. They use a typical numbing cream before to help with any pain or discomfort!
HOW MANY APPLICATIONS ARE NEEDED?
Two applications are needed. The initial appointment, and then another application 6 weeks later.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE:
It takes about one hour to one and half hours per application.
HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY?
There recovery is 7-14 days. Honestly, we din’t have any downtime, just a little bit of itching in the beginning.
