Happy Friday, babes! In case you missed the last Friday Favorites post, you can check it out here. We wanted to share some fun pieces that are on sale, or affordable if you’re looking to treat yourself to some fun stuff this weekend!
ALSO! Here are some great sales taking place this weekend:
If there is one item that is a MUST in our closet, it is ripped jeans. It can be so hard to find ones that fit us the right length, and really, just all around because of how petite we are. Many of y’all may not know that we are only 5’1″, so finding short jeans can be quite the challenge sometimes! We popped into Express the other week and found TONS of jeans that we loved, all at a great price point that come in shorter lengths, longer lengths, and regular, too! These ripped jeans are one of our favorites because they have rips in all the right places, especially the knees! These are stretchy, so they are actually comfortable to travel in, run errands in, etc. They also have some other jeans that are not as ripped, which will be at the bottom of the post! We paired these ripped jeans with a comfy cardigan (love the bell sleeves on it) with this strappy cami (under $40). This cami has the perfect amount of detailing, without being too revealing. For those of y’all who are wondering what we wear underneath, we just wear the silicon petals! You can wear these jeans with a cami, how we did, or a basic tee. These can be dressed up or down!
Be sure to check the bottom of the post for a special discount code to save $25 off your order!
We also found a great pair of olive jeans that have just the perfect amount of distressing in them. These also come in a shorter length option, and can be worn with so many pieces.
Shop our favorite jeans below:
We paired these jeans with this coral cold shoulder top (wearing XS). This peach color is super flattering on any skin tone, and looks great with olive!
We love that these jeans feel like you’re wearing leggings, but they look like jeans and are super comfy! We are honestly so surprised with the great pieces Express has. Not only are their jeans great, but they have some great dresses, tops, work clothing, and even accessories. What we love so much about them is that their prices are super affordable, and they always have some kind of promotion, which always helps;)

One of the questions we get a lot, especially when we are traveling, is how we stay motivated with working out. Trust us, we have our days when the last thing we want to do is workout or eat healthy. Since we have been living a healthier lifestyle for about 6 years now, it has become second nature to us. We usually wake up and want to workout and make healthier choices. Staying active and working out is just something we love doing, and it just makes us feel better overall. It could be going on a hike, a walk, a run, or going to the gym, but if we don’t do it, we feel just “off”.
Before we get into our tips, we wanted to share this super cute workout look that we live in! These crops are so fun, and the mesh and colors make it even better! This tank goes perfectly with them and it is great for working out and comes in a bunch of colors. These shoes are great for running and we love that they have a flyknit texture, which we love and they are SUPER comfy!
We wanted to share some tips on how we like to stay motivated to workout:
BRING A FRIEND
If you sign up for a class or make a workout “date” with one of your girlfriends, you will be held accountable, and less likely to miss it. We don’t always workout together, but if one of us is getting up really early to workout, the other one of us is more tempted to get up as well!
BUY NEW WORKOUT GEAR
For us, and even since we were younger, a new workout outfit would get us motivated and excited to workout. Our mom would entice us to do a sport like tennis or gymnastics solely based on the outfits, haha. Even to this day, a fun pair of shoes or a sports bra gets us motivated.
BRING YOUR WORKOUT CLOTHES, EVEN ON VACATION
If you don’t come prepared, you will not stay on track. We know when you’re on vacation, it can be difficult to get yourself to the gym, but once you start your day off with something active, you will feel so much better, and not feel like you fell off the wagon when you get home.
MAKE IT A LIFESTYLE
This is probably the most important thing. Once you make working out and eating healthy a lifestyle, it will become second nature to you. You will actually want to get up in the morning and workout. It sounds cliche, but it is so true!
DOWNLOAD WORKOUT GUIDES OR BROWSE PINTERST/YOUTUBE
When we first started working out, we used to browse pinterest, youtube, and instagram for workout ideas and healthy meals. We have shared a lot of workouts here, but you can also check out this post on the Fit Body Guide, which we highly recommend!
SET GOALS
Setting goals is super important, and may seem kind of silly at first, but once you reach a milestone you set, you will feel so much more accomplished, and want to continue! For example, setting a goal to workout 2 or 3 times a week, running 1 mile, doing 15 minutes of cardio a day, etc.
REWARD YOURSELF WITH MILESTONES
A great way to stay on track and keep going is to reward yourself with your milestones. For example, treating yourself to a mani/pedi, massage, or a new pair of tennis shoes. Here are some gift ideas. If you’re looking for running gear, you can read some reviews on products here.
We just got back from an incredible family trip in Grand Cayman, so this definitely feel like a Monday more than ever. Since it is Monday, and we have gotten a few requests to share our morning routine, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to share ours! Before we get into our routine, we wanted to share this transitional fall look. We love pairing a cardigan with booties and shorts to transition into the cooler months. Especially in Texas, jeans are still not happening in the fall months, so these booties paired with this grey bag are a great way to style your favorite shorts. They are both super affordable and go with everything! We love Sole Society’s accessories because they have a wide range of styles for fall, and they have a TON of natural colors, which we always gravitate towards.
To be honest, with our schedules and line of work, it can be hard to have a consistent morning routine or schedule. We are both definitely creatures of habit and crave routine, and we feel that the more of a routine we have, the more consistent we can be with staying organized and disciplined. With that being said, it is totally okay to go off that schedule sometimes, like if you’re on vacation, or if you’re with friends or family. We both can be pretty type-A, so we don’t like going off schedule, but we are totally fine with it sometimes! We are both pretty similar with our routines and like to get up pretty early. We just feel like if we get our day started earlier, we are far more productive. Of course, that means you have to go to bed at a decent time, and with us, that doesn’t always happen. I know I tend to work late on my computer answering emails or finishing posts up, and then I do a major no-no, which is bringing my phone into the bed to finish up stuff on instagram (I know, so bad!) Anyways, if I do go to bed at a decent time (before 12), I will just wake up on my own around 6 or 7 AM. My body is just used to that now, so if I sleep past that, I feel like I slept so late, haha.
I will sometimes go straight to the gym after waking up if I am low on time (and when I say “I”, we are both the same with all of these). If I have a little more time, I will make some coffee and go to the gym, or I will make breakfast and sit down and actually enjoy it and have a slower morning. In college, I started doing that, and the morning is my FAVE time because the day has just started, and I truly love breakfast food. So, if I can, I love being able to get up, make some pancakes or a smoothie, and sit down and enjoy my breakfast while catching up on blog reading or news. I also drink hot water with lemon because I just love it and it has some great health benefits. FYI- I drink my coffee black, as in I use no sugar or milk. I know that is not tolerable for some people, so we shared our healthier recommendations in this post.
I also use this time to answer emails that need to be addressed (we are very good about staying on top of emails and try to answer within 24 hours) or finish up any blog posts or drafts due for that morning. I do find that if I don’t go to the gym first before having breakfast, I will tend to end up working too long (until like 10 or 11 AM).
We both workout pretty much every day. We will occasionally take a rest day, but since it is so much of our routine, we love being active. If we don’t go to the gym, we will take a class or go on a short run or walk outside. It just starts our day off on a great note, and we both just feel so much more productive and alert when we start our day off like that. Even when we worked our corporate jobs, we would wake up at 4:45 AM to workout before work.
Even when we are out of town, we have a similar routine. We will usually grab coffee before or after finding a gym or going on a run to start our day. We also ALWAYS eat breakfast. We wake up pretty hungry to start with, so we definitely have to grab breakfast somewhere to start our day. We do take some vitamins that we shared in this post.As far as what we read in the mornings, we follow some blogs on Bloglovin, or we will watch the TODAY show (love Kathie Lee and Hoda!). We also have a few news apps on our phones.
We hope that was helpful! We would love to hear about your morning routines. Obviously y’all know that we are EXTREMELY close and super similar when it comes to what we like and dislike, hence why we share pretty much everything, especially our clothes. Even though we have the same taste when it comes to style, each of us have certain pieces that we tend to gravitate towards. We are teaming up with Loft today (have been a major fan of their pieces for a long time, especially the fact that they have petite sizing. Shoutout to any shorties out there!) to show how we styled each other in honor of Sister’s Day!Samantha tends to go for flowy dresses, especially ones that have a cold shoulder involved. This super cute flowy dress comes in petite and regular sizing, and is SOOO comfy. Seriously, we want to live in it. It is great for traveling, running errands, etc. and you can dress is down for a daytime look, or up for a date night outfit! She paired the dress with some strappy sandals, but you could also wear it into fall with a cardigan and some booties.
Sam chose this embroidered off shoulder top for me, and if you all know me (well, she knows me well, duh!), you know that I am a MAJOR sucker for anything embroidered! She saw this top, and immediately knew it was made for me. It fits super well, and isn’t uncomfortable like most off shoulder tops. She paired it with these super stretchy jeans (that also come in petite and longer lengths!) I wore my wedges with the jeans, but you could also wear booties!
Funny story about these pictures is that we hired our mom to take these of us, and we were legit arguing the entire time! Of course, we did exchange lots of laughs in between, but let’s just say our mom was ready to murder us afterwards. Meanwhile, we were over our bantering within seconds, but she was not! Read more about our twin relationship in this post!
What is SO fun about being sisters is that we can share all of our clothes. We literally get double the wardrobe, but that also means we fight over who gets to wear what, haha. I am sure any of y’all that have sisters can totally relate!
If you all want to know more about what our differences are and more about what it is like to be a twin, check out this post!LOFT has some of the cutest pieces for any age! We love that they have everything from weekend casual looks to office looks, and sizes in petites, too. They also support women, which we are all about. Right now, they are actually offering 40% off everything with code OHYES.
We are sure by now y’all have definitely heard of coconut oil, and how great it is for you! We had actually gotten introduced Kopari a few years ago when they launched, and recently had the opportunity to meet one of their co-founders, Kiana, in Dallas a few weeks ago. It was truly inspiring to hear her story, and since we are entrepreneurs as well, it was very relatable.
First off, not only are these products incredible for SO many reasons, they smell incredible, too! They have a range of products from skincare to body care, and they are all made with 100% pure, organic coconut oil sourced from the Philippines. We have definitely tried using the regular coconut oil from our local grocery store, but those don’t even come close to these products. Store-bought coconut oil may be great for cooking, but these products are completely different for your skin. All of Kopari’s products are completely natural, and contain no sulfates, silicones, parabens, and GMOs. Not going to lie, when we first read about putting coconut oil on our skin and our hair, we were thinking that it was totally weird, and that we would be left with greasy, broken-out skin, but we were so wrong! We actually used some of these products, specifically the coconut melt after our spray tan to keep our skin moisturized, without stripping the color. The coconut melt is multifunctional, meaning you can use it from head-to-toe. We love using it as a hair mask, makeup remover, body moisturizer, and shave oil, but the possibilities are endless!We tried their coconut body milk, coconut body oil, coconut crush scrub, and their coconut melt. We seriously LOVED them all. They left our skin feeling SO incredibly soft and glowy. As we mentioned above, if we had to pick one item that is our top favorite, we would definitely go with the coconut melt because it its versatility. We even got our mom hooked on the coconut body milk because it is easy to pack and travel with and we are currently using it post-beach on our trip right now in the Caymans! If y’all are in the market for a good moisturizer, or a new beauty addition, we highly recommend their products! We are all about knowing exactly what we are putting in our bodies, and what we put on our bodies, and love that these products align with that. If you have any other questions about their products, they have a very detailed Q&A here!{ Lace Nightie | Kopari Coconut Body Milk |Kopari Coconut Body Oil | Kopari Coconut Crush Scrub | Kopari Coconut Melt | BRACELETS: David Yurman Cable Bracelets here, here, and hereand Cartier Love Bracelet | NECKLACES: Initial Necklace and Diamond Dainty Necklace | RINGS: David Yurman Ring here and here | WATCH: Michele Deco Watch }
