Alllll about the leopard lately! We have been getting questions on styling leopard shoes, so we will definitely be doing a dedicated post on that, but for now, we wanted to share some of our favorite leopard shoes.
What is so great about leopard is that you can wear them with everything, and are a great neutral, without being a boring tan or nude. You can also mix and match these with plaid or stripes for a fun twist!
For flats, we love #1 because of the pointed toe, and #2 are super cute slip ons, which we love! If you’re looking for a ballet flat, #5 is a great option! Mules are always fun and can be dressed up or down, so w love #7.
For heels, #8 is a great basic pointed pump. You can wear them with jeans or dress them up with a black dress. #11 is a super cute sandal option, and not too high of a heel!
For boots and booties, we are OBSESSED with #12. How fun are these leopard rain boots?! Gotta have those! #13 is a great pointed toe bootie and super flattering on! #15 is a similar style with a lower heel, if you’re looking for something lower.
We get so many questions about several things: one of them is workwear ideas, which we have shared some in this post and this post. We love this dress for work, or any occasion you have coming up! It is super flattering, and comes in black, too. We love it paired it with this black cardigan and these pointed heels! We are wearing the smallest size in it for reference. On a completely unrelated note, we wanted to share some plant-based recipes we have been loving, or plan on trying! Not going to lie, we always heard “plant-based”, and immediately dismissed it. We thought, “But, how do you get your protein?” It wasn’t until we started not feeling well for a while, that we decided to try it out and see if we saw any changes. We can honestly say we feel so much better. We don’t feel 100%, but it is a step in the right direction. We aren’t focused on protein amounts, just getting and feeling better. You can listen more in our most recent podcast episode.
We are planning on doing a whole youtube video soon on what we eat in a day, but for now it is mainly lemon water and celery juice in the mornings, followed by a smoothie or fresh fruit. Lunch is a big salad or raw veggies and some fruit, and we graze and snack most of the day with fruit, dates, veggies, etc. Dinner is basically the same (a lot of fruits and veggies, sometimes cooked!). It takes a lot to get full and satisfied! Here are some recipes we have been making regularly, or want to make:
Happy Thursday! We are in Austin for the weekend, and so excited to be back in our old city! We moved to Dallas over five years ago from Austin, so it always has a special meaning to us. We are going to the UT vs Baylor game on Saturday, so we are super pumped!
We wanted to share some fall outfit ideas for you all! These are two different types of outfits that you can mix and match with pieces in your closet, or just between thee two looks.
The one on the left incorporates a ton of our favorite pieces (well, both looks do), but this is such an easy look that you could dress up with a pair of booties.
OUTFIT ONE:
Olive Utility Jacket: we have the smallest size in it! You can wear it with so much from leggings to jeans, and even over a dress!
Spanx Faux Leather Moto Leggings: we LOVE these and think they are worth every penny! You can dress these up or down, and they are higher waisted, which we love.
Grey Henley Shirt: we got this one back in July and can’t wait to wear it now that it is getting cooler out. It also comes in a neutral color and a camo print.

A little about this episode:
Alexis and Samantha share their go -to natural + safe beauty products from Beautycounter. The girls talk about the chiropractor and their current treatment for “Tech Neck”. They also share their top 10 fall clothing must haves. Their favorites for this week include two new restaurants they have been loving!
Items we we talked about in this post:
Cleansing Balm: leaves your skin super soft. A little goes a long way, so it lasts you months. You can use it for SO many things: cleanser, mask, and makeup remover! Hands down, our favorite product. Oh, and it’s great for any skin type!
Resurfacing Peel: makes your skin feel so soft and brighter! We have been using it for a few weeks and love the results.
Flawless In Five Kit: this was the first thing we ordered to test some of their stuff out and fell in love! It is a great starter kit if you want to see how you like them.
Lip Gloss: love the “peony” and “bare shimmer” colors
Countermatch Line: We have tried the facial lotion and LOVE how lightweight it feels, and the rest of the line is next on our list to try!
Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage: We love this one for lighter makeup days. It has just enough coverage and leaves your skin looking dewy and fresh. It also has SPF20 in it, so it is great to apply in the mornings before heading out!
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen: This one is major because it is formulated with non-nano zinc oxide and antioxidant-rich California Poppy. This one is a spray so it is super easy to apply! It goes on white for better application, but dries quickly! It also comes in a travel size.
We would LOOOOVE to hear your feedback. We are just starting out, so any tips or anything you want answered, we are all ears! Also, don’t forget to rate + review us on iTunes.

Since we basically live at the grocery store buying food for our bottomless pits ;), we thought we would share our typical grocery lists and where we love to shop! We have gotten so many questions about what is in our fridge, or what we buy, so hope it is helpful for you all. We think it is kind of fun to see what people buy!
We usually love to shop at Costco to get all of our vegetables and fruits because we eat such large quantities of them. We get most of our produce from there, but we will also get some other stuff at Trader Joe’s and Sprouts! We love shopping at Costco because they have so many organic products.
You all have probably noticed most of our groceries are fruits and vegetables. We have been focusing on more of a plant-based diet, with an occasional animal protein once in a while when we are craving it. We wrote more about it in this post and this podcast episode.
We are planning on sharing a post on some recipes soon, so stay tuned!
Many of you all may not know it, but we worked in corporate America about 5 years ago. Our initial job out of college (University of Texas at Austin- Hook ‘Em!) was working in public accounting at Ernst & Young. We both majored in Management Information Systems, so we were not typical accountants. One of us worked in IT Auditing, and the other in Fraud Technology Services. We honestly never thought we would work in something so technical, but it was our dream job we had wanted when we were in school. Interviewing for jobs can be SO stressful and nerve-racking, but once we got our internships with our top choice, we were so excited! We interned for Ernst & Young the summer after our junior year of college in Dallas (where we now live). We had such good experience, and had so much fun that summer! We loved getting to put together cute, but functional outfits for work.
After our summer internships, we accepted full-time offers with the same company, and were so relieved and excited for the next steps in our career. We moved to Dallas in August of 2013, and have obviously been here ever since!
While at our jobs, we would wear a lot of outfits that looked just like this one! Something cute, but also professional. We would shop at Express for most of our workwear because they had such great pieces, and they are affordable.
This outfit is perfect for work, and you can mix and match these pieces with other things in your closet like jeans or leggings! This striped blouse is so flattering because of the vertical stripes, and could be worn with a colored skirt or pair of pants as well. This black skirt is comfortable and cinches at the waist, which is so cute!We both worked our jobs there for a year before transitioning into our own gig;) Although, we had a great experience working there, and have nothing but positive things to say about the company as a whole, it was not for us. We are both very creative at heart, and driven, so we had always envisioned doing something of our own.
Once we left our corporate jobs, we did personal training for 6-7 months, and then worked on eventually launching our own food product, Double Dose Bakery. We also decided to launch our blog at the same time (because we are crazy and like to put a ton of stress on ourselves!) We will say it was quite the journey, but we wouldn’t change any of it!
After a year of working on both businesses, we had to make the very tough decision of choosing one. The food product was so successful and took off way more than we ever thought it would, but since didn’t see ourselves pitching and selling it in the methods we needed to do to be successful, we ultimately had to let it go.
It was SO tough, and one we thought about over and over, but we still feel like it was the best decision for us, and we truly love what we do. It doesn’t feel like work, and we LOVE getting to connect with you all. We couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you!
