Happy Thursday! We are definitely creatures of routine and habit, and with that comes morning routines. We will be honest, in the morning we have way more a routine than in the evening. Although we typically do the same things in the evenings every night, we aren’t as much on a routine. In the last few months, you have noticed that we have changed up our workouts a little bit and have also been incorporating more meditation into our days as well.
Before we get into our updated morning routine, we wanted to quickly talk about this spring outfit!
One of our favorite prints as of late is leopard. Well, actually it has always been a favorite! Back in the day, circa 2000, we had this cute pair of leopard sandals that we were every day! The brand was MIA, so you all may remember those chunky sandals. They were a great shoe because they matched everything!
That is why we love this leopard wrap. It goes with blacks and browns, and pops of color!
You can also wear it over a swimsuit or with some denim shorts! We paired it with some black jeans and a basic silk cami!
This makes a great casual brunch look or a travel look for upcoming spring travels!
And, now for our updated morning routine! We really think life is all about refining and adjusting. Our routine has looked different over the years, and that is what it should be. Some days we get up earlier than others, but we always do pretty much the same thing, which helps us to stay on schedule and still regimented and focusing on our best selfs!
As soon as we get up, we do our daily 10-minute meditation using the Calm app. We love it because it is a guided meditation and has a really good, inspirational quote at the end that starts our day off on a positive note! More on meditation in this post.
After we do our meditation, we both make our beds (yes, it is VERY important to do in our opinions!) and then head downstairs!
We always joke that we are like a married couple because we share duties! One of us will take Lucy out to the bathroom, and the other one will start getting our lemon water ready and our supplements together, as well as juice the celery.
After we do all of that, we will either get in a workout at home using the rebounder or do a P.volve workout, or we will go to pilates at Session Pilates!
If we do a workout at home, we will eat our usual breakfast either before or after our workout and then get to emails and work, or if we go to Pilates, we will eat something right before and then get to work right when we get home from class!
We have been trying to be better about getting on our email or Instagram right when we wake up. We try to not check until after we have meditated, but it is tough!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE JEWELRY ROLL FOR TRAVELING?
We love this pink one because it is under $20 and looks like a pouch! This one is also great and is a square shape, so it is compact and has a lot of compartments.

Yes! We have been loving it! We will be covering a blog post next week on all of it, but just to summarize: helps with cellulite, stimulates metabolism, helps with lymphatic drainage, and improves balance. It is also easier on the joints! We have been doing 20-30 minutes 5-6 times a week! We have this rebounder!

Happy Wednesday! We apologize for the lack of posts this week! We are in the process of updating our blog, so we know there is stuff that is in all the wrong spots and a mess, so we are trying to organize that on top of everything else we have going on, so bear with us!
We have been getting so many questions about our favorite sports bras, and also what our current workout routine looks like, so we are sharing both some spring workout gear we love, AND an updated, current workout routine!
We get asked so much about sports bras! Since we have breast implants, we try to go for high-support bras. This grey one is one of our favorites and we have it in a few colors!

JACKETS:
With spring temps, you still need a light jacket to throw on over your tank! We love this bomber jacket that has buttons– also super cute for running around, and comes in white!
A zip up jacket like this blush one is great for throwing on even with a casual look and comes in a few color options!
Our Apple Airpods are the best! We use them for calls, traveling, walks, and workouts and they actually stay in!
SHOES:
Out of all of these the Adidas Ultraboosts are, without a doubt, our favorites! So comfy!
The Nike Free’s are also a big fave of ours. We have like 5 or 6 colors in them, so you know we love them 😉
UPDATED WORKOUT ROUTINE:
If you all have been following us, you know we have switched up our workouts in the last month or so. Our bodies had been craving less intense workouts than what we had been doing, so we started doing more workouts at home using P.volve, going to pilates at Session Pilates, going on walks, and jumping on the rebounder at home!
We honestly used to be in the mindset, like a lot of you probably are, to get in that sweaty workout, or it’s not a “real workout”, but mentally, and physically, we feel so much better and less stressed, if that makes sense?

DO YOU LIVE WITH SAMANTHA? I NEED A TWIN SISTER IN MY LIFE?
Yes! We still live together, and fight 24/7, even though nobody believes that, haha.
WHAT IS YOUR NATIONALITY?
Both of our parents have European backgrounds. Our mom was born in South America, and our dad was born in Egypt, but their parents were both from different regions in Europe. People always think we are Middle Eastern!
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN ON THE WEEKENDS?
That is a great question! Not a whole lot, but we do love to stay active/workout, try new restaurants, cook, meet up with friends, go to concerts, live sporting events (love football!), hang by the pool or be outside when it is nice out, travel to new places. We are pretty easygoing, but we don’t drink a lot or stay out late, so you won’t find us out at bars too often– Grandmas at heart ;).
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE?
This is such a tough question, but a good one! 😉 It honestly changes day-to-day.
Typically, we will get up around 7 AM and then have our lemon water, celery juice, vitamins, eat a quick breakfast (more in this post!), get in our 10-minute meditation, and a workout! Our workouts are either at home with P.volve, our reformer, or we go to Pilates or the gym! Sometimes, we will go on a walk!
In between all of that, we are glue to our phones and email, haha. Always responding to questions from readers, brands, or working on blog content. If we are not shooting any content, we will work from home on our laptops most of the day (not very exciting, haha!). If we are shooting content, we will get ready and do some light makeup and shoot it either in our house or go somewhere to shoot it.
Other days, we have appointments, meetings (either in person or via phone), and just work in between!
Of course, we are snacking throughout the day, and at night, which is the hardest part, where everyone usually slows down for the day, we typically do not. It is terrible, but we will keep working usually until we go to bed doing something that is “work-related”. It is very hard for us to put it away, and the truth is, we love interacting with you all!

CAN YOU POST MORE HEALTHY RECIPES?

Our favorite headphones BY FAR are the Apple Airpods. We use them for everything! We even accidentally washed them in the washing machine, and they still worked!
HAVE YOU GOTTEN YOUR THYROID LABS REDONE SINCE STOPPING MEDS?
We have not, but we are planning on it soon!
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH CRAVINGS? I FEEL LIKE I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY WITH HYPO?
This is difficult, and you really have to plan ahead! We literally eat/graze all day long. Some people may not agree with that, or it may be too much, but we snack all day long. We always are eating stuff like apples, berries, oranges, grapes, salads, raw veggies, potatoes, etc. Don’t be afraid to eat lots of fruit and veggies! Also, stay hydrated– we drink a lot of hot teas!
HOW DO YOU STEAM VEGGIES IN A PAN?
Super easy! We cut up our veggies, put them in a good skillet like this one, add a little bit of water to coat the pan (we do hot), put the heat on medium-high heat, and cover with a lid! Let them steam, and remove! We top with spices or whatever sauces you like!
WHAT THYROID SUPPORT DO YOU TAKE? I HAVE ALSO BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HASHIMOTO.
HOW DO YOU STAY FULL ON A PLANT-BASED DIET? I FEEL LIKE I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY!
We answered this above, but we are hungry a lot, BUT, we do snack a ton. LOTS of fruits (we are talking 3-4 apples a day, whole melons for a meal, etc. We also eat a lot of carbs (most of our diet is carbs and greens! ie- potatoes, fruits, beans, etc.)

From our experience and research, we do the following to try and make our tans last longer:
Moisturize A TON with lotions that are paraben and sulfate free! We recommend coconut oil or CeraVe.
Pat your skin dry after a bath or shower!
Avoid exfoliating or scented products.
DO YOU GET YOUR EYEBROWS MICROBLADED? IF SO, DO YOU RECOMMEND AND WHY?
We did have them microbladed a couple years ago, but last year we got semi permanent makeup done on our eyebrows (very similar to microblading), and LOVE the results, even a year later!

Happy Monday! We have a long awaited post that we can’t wait to share with you all. We know the celery juice is all over social media, and a lot of you may see it is as a fad. We were honestly pretty skeptical of all of it at first, but had been struggling so much with our health for the last 7 years on and off, that we were willing to try it. In case you missed about our health struggles, you can read about that in this post.
Well, now we have been drinking celery juice and eating plant-based and lower fat for over 6 months now. We honestly haven’t felt this well in a long time. We are still healing and still have our moments where we don’t feel as well, but overall, we see a huge difference.
We will be answering a bunch of your questions that we have been getting further down in this post, but before we get into that, we wanted to share more about how eating this way and drinking this juice has helped us.
To sum it up, we have hypothyroidism, and have had it for over seven years. We were taking medication every morning up until a couple months ago, and had seen lots of physicians and natural practitioners (functional medicine). We had every test performed under the sun and were diagnosed with digestive issues (SIBO, yeast overgrowth, etc). We tried eliminating all types of foods like lectins, fruits, eating higher fat, etc. We didn’t really feel that much relief from anything.
During this time, we also were put on a medical grade heavy metal detox by a practitioner that made us very sick and weak. While we may have had heavy metals in our body, this did not help us, rather it made us worse. It was extremely frustrating because we wanted to help ourselves, rather than make it worse.
In July/August of last year, we were extremely swollen and inflamed and could barely go on walks because we had no energy. Our hormones were totally imbalanced and we had trouble sleeping. It was around this time that we were introduced to Medical Medium and the celery juice. It was the total opposite of what we were used to eating and doing, but we were so desperate, we were willing to try it.
We listened to several of his podcast episodes, specifically on liver health and Fatty Liver, and on protein. We were both convinced to try eating plant based and lowering our animal fat intake, as well as trying the celery juice for a few weeks. We also read his Liver Rescue book and Life Changing Foods book. It was definitely an adjustment in the beginning not eating a lot of animal products, but now, 6 months later, we are almost fully vegan, and don’t really crave meat anymore.
We have so much more energy, and our digestion is a million times better. Our skin is clearer, we think clearer, we sleep better, and this list goes on and on. We do have detoxing symptoms some days, and when we first started juicing, we had headaches, bloating, and breakouts from the initial detox symptoms, which we read is normal!
QUESTIONS
WHAT IS THE RECIPE FOR THE CELERY JUICE?
There isn’t a fancy recipe! If using a juicer (which we recommend), you simply use one bunch of celery (a head), and rinse well. Put in the blender and drink up!
*If you don’t have a juicer, you can use a high-speed blender like the Vitamix to blend. Then, you will have to strain it and drink up!
WHAT JUICER DO YOU USE?
We have two juicers! We just got this one (the one in the pictures) from Bed Bath and Beyond, and love it! We shared another juicer in one of our previous FAQ posts!
HOW DO YOU DRINK IT IF YOU HATE THE TASTE OF CELERY?
We have honestly gotten used to it, but if you absolutely can’t stand it, you can juice one cucumber and/or apple with the celery. Medical Medium explains more here on that.
DO YOU STILL GET THE SAME NUTRIENTS IF YOU JUICE A FEW DAYS AHEAD?
We always make ours the day of and will get up earlier to do that, but if you can’t do it, you can make it one day ahead and be sure to seal it in a mason jar in the fridge right after your make it.
HOW MANY OZ DO YOU DRINK?
We drink 16oz of it every morning, but some days we try to have more. Ideally, we would like to have 24-32 oz.
IS THERE A GOOD TIME TO DRINK THE JUICE?
From our research, the best time to drink the celery juice is in the morning on an empty stomach. We usually wake up, have our lemon water then wait 30 minutes. Then, we will have our celery juice, and wait another 20 minutes before eating our breakfast, which is usually fruit!
If you can’t drink it first thing, drink it on an empty stomach whenever you can throughout the day!
CAN YOU JUST EAT THE CELERY INSTEAD?
From what we have read, you won’t get the same benefits! According to Medical Medium, the only way to get the healing benefits is by removing the pulp. You will also most likely not be able to eat enough celery in a day to get the benefits of it.
DID YOU GAIN WEIGHT WITH YOUR LIVER AND THYROID ISSUES?
Yes, we did. We had gained weight with our thyroid condition (most of it is just swelling and water weight), and then had lost it. We felt it creeping back on slowly in the last few years, which we believe is due to our liver.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE OR FEEL RESULTS?
We would say we saw results in our digestion within the first few weeks, but every body is different. Even if you don’t physically see or feel any benefits, you are still healing and receiving the benefits of it, so don’t give up!
DO YOU STILL EAT FISH OR CHICKEN?
We don’t really eat a lot of chicken, but will occasionally eat fish when we are craving it. It took a while, but now we don’t crave it as much as we used to!

We honestly think it has to do with lifestyle and habit. It takes a LONG time to get used to living a healthier lifestyle, and we always say, you can’t go from 0 to 100 overnight. Making small changes over time is the best thing you can do! We started off eating this way for health reasons, but we didn’t do all of this overnight. We have been eating this way for 7 years, so it is a lifestyle, and one we enjoy now. We would say doing little things like eating more vegetables or adding more fruit in are good places to start. Also, swapping soda or sugary coffee for infused or sparkling water is a good one, too!
GETTING LASH EXTENSIONS FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEK. ANY TIPS?
We are obsessed with lashes and can’t live without them! Prepare to be addicted, haha. We would recommend not wearing a lot of eye makeup, just because it will get your lashes dirty, and make taking it off a lot more difficult around your lashes. We also would not recommend using anything oil-based as this can take off the lash adhesive. We also try not to rub our eyes a lot or play with our lashes and also keep them brushed with a little mascara wand!

BECOMING A BLOGGER: WHERE TO BEGIN, TIPS, CHALLENGES, HOW TO MAKE STEADY INCOME?
It can be so overwhelming, and we have talked about it a lot in our podcasts, blog posts, etc. You can read more about in this last FAQ. We always say don’t go into it for the money because that is not something that is going to keep you in it. You have to be passionate about it, or you’ll hate your life. Yes, it can make money, but it is tough, and you have to be extremely driven. A lot of the girls that we know in this industry are extremely hard working.
